Alvaro Arbeloa: We are improving all the time

Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has hailed his side’s 8-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna as a sign the team is fast improving.

A hat trick from Cristiano Ronaldo, a brace each from Gareth Bale and Javier Hernandez and a brilliant strike from James Rodriguez saw off the Galician side and got Carlo Ancelotti’s men back on track after two losses in their previous La Liga games.

Speaking after the match, the right back told journalists Los Blancos were improving each game and would now be seeking momentum to carry on into the campaign.

He stated: “We should be happy. You’re seeing a Real Madrid that is improving and more in tune, which is what we wanted. To do well we have to be at our best. We’re building momentum and an improvement can be seen. That’s what the manager wants.”

He added that he feels the team is now going in the right direction and that they would enjoy the next few days after netting eight times.

“Today we scored eight goals; it’s a lot and you can’t do something like that every day because it’s too many, but the team’s going in the right direction. The important thing for the team is that we all help each other. It doesn’t matter who plays at full back.”
