Alvaro Morata says he is not interested in moving back to Real Madrid and is happy in Italy.

The former Los Blancos youth player switched to the Turin-based side in the summer of 2014 after failing to make regular first team appearances and becoming impatient having to play second fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

The Spain international scored 15 goals in his opening season in Seria A as Juventus won the title and Italian Cup and made it to the final of the Champions League. Indeed, it was his goals in both legs of the semi-final that knocked Madrid out, and lead to speculation he could move back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos have a buy-back clause and could make a move next summer. But speaking to Sport Mediaset, the forward said he wants to continue playing for Juventus.

“No way, Juventus is my team and I’m OK here. I’m not thinking about other clubs.

“I appreciate Madrid’s high regard for me, but right now I’m working on scoring and winning everything I possibly can with Juventus,” he commented.
Morata and his team mates have made a slow start to their defence of the title and have failed to win in their opening three games in the league.
