Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has said the team is beginning to see the best of Gareth Bale now that he has adapted to his new surroundings.

The 24-year-old Welshman scored his first hat trick for Los Blancos in the 4-0 win over Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu. It takes his tally for the season to nine goals in 13 games. In his last seven games, the 91-million-euro man has scored eight goals and provided seven assists.

And his Italian boss said things will only get better for Bale and his team mates now the adaptation period is over. “We spoke yesterday. I think his period of adaptation is over. He is doing well, he is confident and is very important for us. He did very well today,” he said.

The manager also praised the way his team went about the task of beating Valladolid and urged them to not get complacent as the seek to keep the winning run going in La Liga.

“We are playing well at the moment, with continuity and character. The team is focused and has a good attitude. I do not know if it’s the best match that we’ve played. I think recent matches have been very good. We are confident and we want to continue like this. As I said before the match, football is strange. When everything is going well, you can still be surprised,” Ancelotti stated.

Los Merengues manager also took time out to discuss the current state of the title race, and admitted he would watch Barcelona’s visit to Athletic Bilbao, but he was not concerned about what the Catalans do, nor Atletico de Madrid.

“I will watch it because I love football. Let’s see what happens. We do not have to think about Barcelona or Atletico Madrid. We have to think about ourselves. That is what we are doing now and we are doing well,” he stated.
