Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says he would be happy to return to the club – or previous sides he has manged including Chelsea and PSG – but not until the end of the season.

The Italian is a popular figure at the Santiago Bernabeu having guided the club to the 10th Champions League trophy in 2014. In his two-year stint as manager, Ancleotti also won the Copa del Rey, European Super Cup and World Club Cup.

He was sacked in the summer though for failing to lift La Liga or the Champions League last summer and was replaced by Rafa Benitez.

But the Spaniard is under immense pressure already with the side lying six points behind Barcelona in the league. More than that, grumblings had already been heard about falling out with major stars and fans being unhappy with the style of play. The grumblings got louder with the manner of the display in Saturday’s 4-0 humiliation at home to Los Cules.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also under the spotlight with his team having lost seven of their opening 13 fixtures in the Premier League.

Speaking to journalists about whether he would be interested in a return should either of those managers be relieved of their duties, Ancelotti said he would be, but not for now.

“For sure, I could return to Real, but not at the moment as I’ve decided to take a year out. Next season I will return to coaching and I would have no problems returning to Madrid, Chelsea or PSG,” he told ANSA.

  1. I think morinho is still a perfect choice who could bring about positive results around stamford bridge. Because he knows the club he used to led to major successes and without doubt best of best managers in the club’s history; he knows how success come in barcklay’s premier league, he has the best captain, john terry with whom he spent the successful first spell in england. Thus he has leadership quality, exprience and charsmatic nature in john terry to motivate the dimoralized stars as eden hazard to take the club to the right track. He also have the potential to contend with the challeging media of england that have its own influence on either success or failure of managers and players end. Look, suarez left the mersycide club with self assured challenge of england media. The same is for balatoli, manager Vilas Boas, Tevez,….etc. How to motivate players is the known quality of morinho. Look back to his time in porto where he achieved european success after competing with the mega clubs of europe as barcelona and man United given less budget and less relative quality players but self fashioned team sprite. People try to associate this success in portugal with luck but what is then in England with chelsea where he acquainted the club with a premier league trophy after 50 years not only once but for two subsquent years with other minor trophies; FA CUP, COMMUNITY SHIELD AND CARLING CUP. What is then in italy? He achieved three back to back seria A triumphs with other different high value titles including the champions league. Spain la liga success, his management of football world star players as CR7, Z.IBRAHMOVIC, D.DROGBA, MILITO, OZIL, KAKA, Eto’o, W.SNJDER,A.ROBEN, FRANK LAMPARD, CASILAS, JULIO CEZAR, PETER CECH, ……really shows positive about jose. So he deserve to stay in COBHAM. Think of the consequences of bringing new manager to premier league. May be people can mention either Ancholoti, G.Hidink, D.Simon, or others but am sure may be ancholoti can have immidiate positive impact but he is not long term plan. He is aging nearing his retirement year. The others all need time to success and Abrahmovic will not be patient which keeps the club in crisis of trophies. Nothing is good than keeping Morinho at the club who have the exprience and the knowledge of how to succeed. For me no body is to be soley criticized for chelsea’s historically poor start. Their are champion last season, the players were fatigued and their celebration of the title even added to the tirdness; players like Ramires, willian, oscar enjoyed less the summer break because of copa america trainings and tournament even though their country brazil exited earlly. Morinho should have pushed the board to issue budget to have promising quality player who play in the position club captain and legend john tery; though there is still huge input in J.tery which can help the club to succeed most of the inputs are off_pitch such as leading the dressing room, acting as an example on training field for youths as Zouma and being an ambassodor of the club in staduims of compitition who motivates his teammates. Expecting more than this from the old club faithful is more than doubt disrespect. Jose also should have a good compititive option for Diego other than out of form colombian Radmal falcao and not world class Loic Remy. I may feel good if jose has gave an oppopunity to the wonderkids either Batrick Bamford or Solanke. Also the sale of Peter Cech was wrong decision because we lost the qualities ordered for J.tery above in him and the qualities are now apparantely exhibting in Arsenal, the club to where our legend Cech was accompanied. This factors with loss form of Hazard, fabrigas, ivanovic, and matic as well as injuries of courtoisis and Costa led the club to the crisis. In addition the decisions of the officials: the undefined extension of playing minutes versus liverpool in which chelsea conceded a goal and lost confidence consequently, the apparant penality claims denied vesus stock, ……etc are indicators how the england officials demonistrating their hate for jose not chelsea. Everyone in england including the FA seems want jose to be sacked. They are not comfortable with his achievements and the cofidence he holds while speaking in interview and press conferences. Whatever whoever feels he is best. Abrahmovic seems learned from his previous mistakes when he sacked morinho due to the criticism by haters of the portugues but it is unlikely to happen like this again. It will not be far that morinho will turn everything positive. He is the special one and we blieve in him. We would rather like to ask Hazard, matic, costa, fabrigas, ivanovic and falcao to find their best to credit the best knowldge of our manager. Unless the history of this innocent club will criticize themselves. Chelsea forever!!!
