Chelsea start Eden Hazard will turn down the overtures of PSG this summer in favour of a move to Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph says the Belgian international is hoping the Santiago Bernabeu side will make a move for him at the end of the campaign. Should they fail to, he would stay at Chelsea rather than move elsewhere.

The 25-year-old was one of Chelsea’s outstanding performers last season as the won the Premier League title. But this year he has found the going tougher and his form and confidence have been below par.

There are signs however that he is coming back to his best as evidenced with his goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Hazard’s idol while growing up was Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and the 1998 World Cup winner is also a fan of the attacking player. With a transfer ban potentially coming into force after the summer should the club not be successful in it’s appeal, there is a possibility Real could go on a huge spending spree before being unable to register players for the next two windows.

Since joining Chelsea in 2012, Hazard has scored 51 goals in 196 appearances in all competitions.
