Diego Lopez joined his new club AC Milan, and he has admitted to be sad to be leaving Real Madrid after two successful years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“It is always a pity when you leave, and it’s a sad moment, but I take all the good things that had happened to me in the last year and a half, and also in my previous period at the club. Given the circumstances, it is going to difficult to come back again as a player, but maybe I could return as an employee in the future,” Lopez told As TV.
“It is a sad moment but you have to be positive. I will have the opportunity to say my farewells to all of Madridismo, which they deserve,” he added.
Lopez confessed his transfer to the Rossoneri “has gone very fast,” but he is “very happy to be moving to a club like Milan.”
At his arrival to Milan, the goalkeeper saluted the fans with a “Forza Milan” and confessed he is “ready to fight and work as hard as always to earn a spot in the starting eleven.”
Interviewed by AC Milan media, the 32-year-old revealed the advice of Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid goalkeepers coach Villiam Vecchi had been crucial for him to pick the Serie A side as his new destiny. “They spoke to me very good things about Milan, and it is a world-class club,” he said.

Am very very sad seeing you leaving Lopez I know these so call Spanish medias are the one behind this. They always look for your mistakes despite the good work you’ve done for this great team especially your first season I can never forget. They want to see that out of form Casillas in post and I believe he will surely leave the club with disgrace if he doesn’t leave now. Raul was the club captain and the club legend but he left the club without single word from this fucking media. Now, he has been received with warm hands to work with the management. Raul is a true legend who wants good for the club unlike this so Casillas who conspire with his girlfriend and giving the team unrest whenever he found himself on the bench.
