Edison Cavani says transfer talk is unsettling

Real Madrid target Edison Cavani has told reporters that talk of a possible transfer to the Spanish giants or to Premier League side Chelsea is unsettling him.

The Uruguayan is with his national side in Brazil as the South Americans take on Italy in the 3rd/4th place play-off in the Confederations Cup.

Speaking to members of the press before the game, he said his focus had been disrupted by talk of a big money move away from the Seria A.

Chelsea are believed to be ready to make a firm offer for the forward, and while Los Blancos are still interested, it is thought they are swaying more in favour of a move for Cavani’s international team-mate Luis Suarez.

Cavani said: “Your talking at the beginning didn’t disturb me but now I have to confess these rumours are bothering me. You’re talking too much about things you shouldn’t be talking about now. I’m still engaged in this competition and just thinking about the next game.”
