Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is back in training ahead of the visit of Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The 25-year-old has missed almost three weeks of action with a hip-injury. He was an unused substitute against Levante on October 18, but has missed the last four matches for Los Blancos. They included the 3-0 over Liverpool at Anfield and the 3-1 win over title rivals Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend.

But a statement on the official club website said the Welshman was back in the fold after recovering from injury and had taken part in a number of drills.

“Bale joined the group for the week’s last training session, during which Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo worked alone and performed running drills out on the pitch,” it read.

And it added: “Bale completed a series of demanding dribbling, passing and shooting circuits.”

The 91-mill-euro summer signing from Tottenham Hotspur could have a tough time getting back in the side. Los Blancos have been in fine form in recent games and are on a run of 11 consecutive win so far. Isco and James Rodriguez, two players competing for a place with Bale, have been particularly impressive for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
