Real Madrid midfielder Isco expects a tough month when the season restarts in January.

Los Blancos are currently on their winter break – although play a friendly against AC Milan in Dubai on Tuesday – having made a superb start to the season. They sit top of the table and have won their last 22 games in all competitions.

But when the real action returns in January, Carlo Ancelotti’s men face Valencia in La Liga before a two-legged affair with city rivals Atletico de Madrid in the Copa del Rey. Real will be up against Fernando Torres again after the ex-Rojiblanco signed for the club on loan from AC Milan until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Speaking in Dubai, Isco said the start of 2015 will not be easy for the Champions League and Copa del Rey holders.

“It will be a very difficult start to 2015 for us. We are still confident ahead of January and hopefully we can produce the same form and go beyond 22 wins,” he stated.

Looking forward to the friendly against Milan, Isco said he was excited to be playing in Dubai.

“It is the first time that I have visited Dubai, so I don’t know much about the place! But I know plenty about Milan and we all know what a big club they are and their record over the years and I’m sure it won’t be an easy game.”
