One week ago, after the game against Sevilla in the first leg of Copa del rey Last 16 round, James Rodríguez said clearly “I stay at Real Madrid”. In this way, he closed the rumours about his future after the words in Japan about the lack of opportunities and the possibility of leaving Real Madrid in winter.

However, in only few days his situation has changed. James Rodríguez played an extraordinary game against Sevilla scoring two goals in Copa del Rey. During the weekend, he went again to the bench, but he had time to assist to Casemiro in the fifth goal of Real Madrid against Granada. On Thursday Real Madrid will face again Sevilla and James Rodríguez is expected to start again. There is already a debate around Real Madrid whether Isco or James has to play.

Despite this good moment, there are still a lot of rumours about his future. The latest one is the interest of some Chinese teams in signing the Colombian playmaker. According to the Spanish TV show “El Chiringuito”, three Chinese teams are trying to sign him. Hebei China Fortune, trained by Manuel Pellegrini, Guangzhou Evergrande, trained by Luis Felipe Scolari, and Shanghai Shenshua, who have just signed Carlos Tévez, are the three teams.

The Chinese League is putting a lot of money in the market and the teams have been able to convince top players like Oscar, Lavezzi or Graziano Pellé to join their teams. Besides, also great coached are managing some of the best teams of the tournament. For this reason, the competition wants to step up and James Rodríguez would bring more quality to the league.

However, it’s very unlikely that James Rodríguez could decide to join the Chinese League. Zidane and the player want to work together at least until the end of the season. Depending on the results and the performance given by the Colombian, both will take a decision in June. Nevertheless, James Rodríguez is still very young and at the top of his career to move to a minor competition like the Chinese League. But money is tempting and you never know what to expect when such an offer arrives.
