Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has taken to social media to try and put an end to rumours that he could move to Arsenal during this transfer window.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a 50 million euro move for the France international as they seek their first title triumph in 12 years.

Despite the fact boss Arsene Wenger has consistently denied having any interest in the 27-year-old and Los Blancos being unwilling to sell their forward, the stories just haven’t gone away.

Benzema, who missed the opening day draw against Sporting Gijon through injury, took to Twitter to try and put an end to the transfer talk, saying he’s happy in the Spanish capital.

Along with a picture of himself in Real Madrid gear, he wrote: “For all those clowns to want to make believe things at my fans. Here, this is my home. #HalaMadridYNadaMas”

Benzema, who scored 22 goals for his club last season, is now back in full training and is expected to be back in the side this weekend when the 10-time Champions League winners host Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Benzema joined Real from Lyon in 2009 and has scored more than 120 goals in his time in the Spanish capital.
