The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium lived an special day on Sunday after hosting the game against Real Madrid and Ajax legends. Roberto Carlos, Figo, Raúl, Overmars or Finidi played the charity game to fundraise money for homeless people.
The game started with a tribute to the pilot Luis Salom and Johann Cruyff. There was as well another tribute to the Irak fans dead after an attack to a Real Madrid fan club. More than 78.000 people crowded the stadium to see some of the glories of Real Madrid.
Los Blancos beat 3-1 Ajax Ámsterdam but the result was the least important thing. Buyo, Salgado, Roberto Carlos, Hierro, McManaman, Velasco, Figo, Seedorf, Guti, Sanz y Raúl were some of the Real Madrid legends that played the game. Zidane couldn’t attend the game.
Ajax played as well with a team full of great players: Van der Sar, Reiziger, Heitinga, Bogarde, Winter, Finidi, Swart, Witschge, de Boer, Overmars y Pérez.
Raúl González was the player most cheered up in the game although he wasn’t able to score a goal. Seedorf, McManaman, Figo and Butragueño were the scorers in a great evening at Bernabeu stadium.
