Sergio Ramos: Di Maria isn’t planning on leaving

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has said he doesn’t believe team mate Angel di Maria wants to leave the club.

The Argentine winger has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu all summer with Manchester United and PSG mentioned as the most likely destinations.

He was left out of the European Super Cup win over Sevilla earlier this month, intensifying speculation that he was about to leave the Spanish capital for pastures new following the arrival of James Rodriguez, who plays in the same position as him.

But the 27-year-old has responded well to the speculations and put in a superb performance against Fiorentina at the weekend, and also came off the bench in the first-leg of the Spanish Supercopa against Atletico de Madrid.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Ramos said he doesn’t think di Maria is looking to leave, and that any player playing for Los Blancos normally thinks of staying for life as there is no bigger club in the world to play for.

“It’s clear that Di María was very good last season and that he is a player who is really loved by the fans. I’m not one for recommendations.  We live in a democratic country.  Di Maria knows what it is to be out and he’s at Real Madrid.  I don’t think Di Maria’s intention is to leave and in my cause, I signed up to be here for life.,” he stated.

  1. T Think if Real Madrid is greatfull they should let Di Maria go to manutd because when they want Ronaldo manutd let him go So at this point manutd desprate need Di Maria so they should let him go Thanks

  2. I think Realmadrid don’t need to sell Di Maria this season because Realmadrid don’t have any player like him to drive into opposition area. He is very difficult to mark when moving with ball.
