Following the draw for the last 16 knockout phase, we have decided to take a look at the UEFA Champions League 2016/17 Betting: Best Odds, Free Bets and Tips. Real Madrid are attractively priced in the outright market behind Bayern Munich (21/5 Ladbrokes) and Barcelona (7/2 Generally). Los Blancos have a relatively kind draw against Napoli, so Madridistas will have no hesitation in backing the current trophy holders at odds of 5/1 with Ladbrokes and Unibet.

Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid have finished as runners-up in two of the previous three finals and have been handed an easy draw on paper against Bayer Leverkusen. Atletico Madrid can be backed at 9/1 but do not look as convincing this season.

Manchester City showed they could match the elite when beating Barcelona in the group phase but they are an inconsistent side and the general price of 11/1 is not very attractive on that evidence. They also need to get past Monaco who look to be in great form at the moment.

Borussia Dortmund should have enough to get past Benfica but they are playing catch-up in the BundesLiga. Real Madrid know all too well that the German outfit are a tough side to beat on their day, so odds of 12/1 are fair enough despite their inconsistencies.

Juventus are available at a big price, 14/1 with Sportingbet. The Old Lady is often overlooked as a potential winner but drawing Porto has to enhance their claims. Juve were finalists in 2015 and could easily have the Serie A title wrapped up early enough to concentrate fully on European commitments.

Of the outsiders, Sevilla have shown their penchant for winning knockout competitions in the Europa League but this is a step up for them. They will probably get past Leicester but I would be surprised if they went any further. Their former coach Unai Emery isn’t having a great time at PSG who have fallen short in this tournament in recent years.

Arsenal have failed to beat Bayern Munich when it matters and the BundesLiga giants are a huge obstacle for them once again. It would be quite a shock if either of the Portuguese sides made it any further but I can envisage Monaco reaching the final, which makes their odds of 80/1 an interesting proposition.
