Real Madrid failed to win the game against Borussia Dortmund so they finished second in the group stage in the Champions League. Therefore, Los Blancos will have to play the first leg of the Last 16 at Santiago Bernabéu stadium but they’ve avoided some big teams like Bayern Munich or Manchester City.

Zinedine Zidane is not concerned for not winning the group but he has his preferences in the draw: “I don’t want Juventus, for two reasons… But we’ll see on Monday who we have to play against, I can’t do anything”.

According to Zidane it’s not better to be second of the group: “It doesn’t matter. I wanted to be first and we did everything to lead the group. I’m not going to think twice about it. On Monday I’ll see the draw. It’s not easy what the players are doing”, the manager said.

The French coach was quite happy about his team performance: “We’ve forgiven them with the chances we had… We did our best to be the first and we didn’t achieve it. But I’m very proud for all my players did. We had a great rival with great players. We lack a bit of attention at the end. We can’t do anything else”.

James Rodríguez finally started the game and he played some good minutes: “He has done a great performance and I’m happy for him. He did a great cross to Benzema in the goal but I’m not happy for it, but for the game”. Zidane was also asked about Karim Benzema: “For any striker it’s very important to score two goal, especially in these kind of games. I’m happy for Karim but also for his work. And Karim scored two goals thank to his team mates, who left him in a good position to score”, Zidane finished.
