Zinedine Zidane was very happy after another victory against Leganés (2-4). Los Blancos keep beating their rivals and they are still two points ahead FC Barcelona before the derby against Atlético Madrid on Saturday. Los Blancos started a crucial week with optimism before facing Simeone’s side and Bayern Munich in Champions League.

One thing that Real Madrid should improve is the defensive part of the game. They are still receiving many goal, even from a team who struggles to score: “Of course the defensive mistakes irritate me and I get angry. But it’s the beautiful part of football, everything can happen”, Zidane said after the game.

Keylor Navas couldn’t keep a clean sheet again, because the team made some mistakes: “We started well the match and in two minutes everything changed. It’s not that we made mistakes, it’s a lack of concentration. In the second half we controlled better the game”, Zizou analyzed.

The best player of the game was Marco Asensio. The youngster used to be out of the list in the important games but he’s showing his quality whenever he has the chance: “He made a great game, we know his quality. All the players put us in difficulties, because all are in good shape. We are going to need every one. People speak about players in the line-up and on the bench but we are on the same boat”.

Zidane continued with his politics of changing the team for these games. It worked against Eibar and also against Leganés: “To me is not a risky bet, it’s a normal one. All are playing well and I have the possibility of changing many players. It’s true that I’m happy because a have a really good squad”, the French said.

Finally, he was asked about James Rodríguez, who started the game and was substitute. The Colombian playmaker showed his anger on the bench after the substitution: “I haven’t spoken with him, but it’s normal that he doesn’t want to come out and play 90 minutes. He played well. I don’t have anything against James, on the contrary. It’s true that he comes out from the pitch a lot, but he’s an offensive player and works a lot. The same happens with Karim. I’m happy with him and it’s normal that he’s angry for being changed. I do the things for the team. I understand his anger and he’s going to keep being important”, Zidane finished.
