The best news possible in this difficult situation at Real Madrid would have been the return of Zinedine Zidane. And Zizou is back to his home after the announcement of the club this afternoon. The French coach will be seated on the bench already on Saturday against Celta de Vigo and he signed a contract until 2022. Santiago Hernán Solari, consequently, has been sacked despite the victory (1-4) against Valladolid.

Florentino Pérez has announced this Monday the return of Zinedine Zidane to his home. The president was very happy despite the circumstances of the club because the announcement shed some light to this terrible season. Eight months later, Zidane is back after the pass of Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari as a head coach.

In press conference, the French manager said that he couldn’t say ‘no’ to the president and he showed once again his feelings towards the club. In these 11 matches until the end of the season, he will have to evaluate the quality of the players in the current squad and start designing the next season.

Zidane said in May that he wasn’t able to guide this club and he left the team unexpectedly. Florentino Pérez didn’t react and the planning was quite poor during the summer, but the French manager wanted to be back to refurbish the whole team. Gareth Bale, Marcelo or Toni Kroos will be spotted during these two months.

After the defeat against Ajax, Florentino Pérez called Zinedine Zidane to try to convince him. The manager didn’t reject the proposal but he had some work to do with his sponsorships. Only when the club could announces it after the game against Valladolid, Real Madrid made it public with an official statement. Despite the victory, Solari leaves the bench with some good news -Reguilón, Vinicius Junior or Marcos Llorente- and a terrible month of March.
