Jesús Fernández Sáez, Suso, is one of the stars of the new AC Milan. The Spanish player scored two goals last Sunday in Milan derby making history because Suso was the second Spaniard able to find the net in the “Derby della Madonnina”.

Suso came back to Milan this summer after a year on loan at Genoa. There, he scored 6 goals in 19 appearances in the ‘rossoblu’ team, adapting himself to the Serie A. Previously, he played for Milan but Suso didn’t have many opportunities, playing 6 games in one season and a half.

Suso is a familiar name for the Liverpool supporters. The Spanish attacker arrived to Merseyside when he was only 16 years old and Rafa Benítez was the ‘reds’ coach. Some years later, with Brendan Rodgers on the bench. Suso made his debut in the Europa League in the season 2012/13. He had some injuries, so he decided to leave Liverpool and find a new place.

His good performances in Italy have called Julen Lopetegui’s attention. The Spanish national manager called him to stay with the team but he has still to make his debut with Spain. Suso has also called the attention of the media and he explained his opportunities to sign for Real Madrid.

It was not the only time Suso refused to join Real Madrid. Los Blancos came back again when he was 18 and already playing for Liverpool. This time even Emilio Butragueño talked with him, but the Spaniard decided to stay in England.

Gareth Bale could finish the game on Tuesday against Sportingg Portugal at José Alvalade. Los Blancos won in the last minutes of the game thanks to a header from Karim Benzema. The Welshman missed the goal because he was substituted early in the second half with pain in his ankle.

In the press conference, Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the reason of the substitution was not a hit but something more serious. The club has made public a statement about Bale’s injury: “After tests carried out on our player Gareth Bale at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons of his right ankle. His recovery will continue to be assessed”, Real Madrid said in their website.

This should mean that Gareth Bale will miss El Clásico, next Saturday, 3rd of December. Although the club hasn’t specified how many days he will be out of the pitches, it’s going to be very complicated for him to recover in only 10 days. Real Madrid will face in the following days Sporting Gijón and Barcelona in La Liga and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Besides, Los Blancos have to play the second leg of the Copa del Rey draw against Cultural Leonesa.

Gareth Bale has had several problems with the injuries at Real Madrid but this season he has only missed the match against Espanyol in La Liga and the European Supercup in August after arriving until the semifinals in the Euro. Zidane also gave him some rest against Cultural Leonesa in Copa del Rey.

The Welshman will join Toni Kroos in the medical treatment. Casemiro or Pepe are also missing the last games although they are expected to come back in the next days to work with their team mates. Los Blancos are being quite unlucky with the injuries at the start of the season. Keylor Navas, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo are some of the footballers who had needed medical treatment this year.

Zinedine Zidane was happy after the victory over Sporting Portugal. The French manager attended to the press conference with a smile on his face after qualifying to the Last 16 round of the Champions League.

The team suffered to get the three points against a really good rival, as Zidane confirmed: “We had some complicated moments, but it’s normal. I didn’t see Sporting playing with this intensity in any other previous games, but it’s normal because this is the Champions League. Once again we fought until the end, we kept playing after conceding the goal. We got a really beautiful goal with Karim Benzema. It’s obvious that playing every three days is not easy and we could lack some energy”.

Zidane had to change Marcelo and Gareth Bale with physical problems: “We took out Marcelo as a precaution. Gareth has something in the ankle and looks like a sprain. It’s early to speak about Bale’s injury. We’ll see, he needs tests. I can only say that it’s not only the hit”.

With this win, Real Madrid are unbeaten in the last 30 games, an amazing race: “We want to keep going what we are doing, knowing that in some games there are moments that we suffer. These 30 games are an extra motivation to keep going with our job. We’ll keep in this way but I don’t know until when because physically it’s not easy for everybody”.

Real Madrid will fight with Borussia Dortmund for the top position of the group, whereas Sporting are out of the competition: “Perhaps Sporting deserve more points. We now have a final against Dortmund, although there are other games. We are happy for winning here, we knew it was going to be a tough game. Now we need to rest because the next game is very soon”, Zidane said at José Alvalade.

Real Madrid got the three points from José Alvalade after beating (1-2) Sporting Lisbon in the fifth game of the Champions League group stage. Los Blancos qualify into the Last 16 of the competition again and will fight with Borussia Dortmund for the first position of the group. The German side thrashed (8-4) Legia Warsaw in the game with more goals in the history of the Champions League.

Zidane decided to start the game with the same players who beat Atlético Madrid only three days ago. Only Sergio Ramos came in and Nacho stayed in the bench. It looked like a good decision because Real Madrid controlled the game in the first half. Sporting also arrived to Keylor Navas’ goal often but couldn’t beat the Costa Rican. Sergio Ramos also made some mistakes, especially in the first half. It was another full back, in this case, Raphael Varane, the one who opened the score after a free kick from Luka Modric in the 29th minute.

Sporting were eliminated of the Champions League with this result and they pushed a lot in the second half. Jorge Jesus side missed many chances and Real Madrid were very pressed and they only could defend. This time Isco wasn’t the player we saw at Vicente Calderón. However, it looked easier for Real Madrid when Joao Pereira was sent off in the 64th minute after an action with Kovacic.

Real Madrid didn’t control the game despite they were playing with one extra footballer and the goal for Sporting Portugal arrived in the 80th minute. Fabio Coentrao, who entered for Marcelo, made an absurd penalty for handball. Adrien Silva didn’t miss the chance. The game was still very opened because the Portuguese team needed a second goal to have options to qualify for the Champions League Last 16. But Real Madrid scored again in the last minutes of the game. This time was Karim Benzema, who found the net after a header and a great cross from Sergio Ramos.

Real Madrid are again in the Last 16 round although it wasn’t a brilliant performance. Sporting played really well both games against Real Madrid but they got unlucky in the last minutes. Now, Borussia Dortmund awaits to see which team will lead the group.

It was 2002. 22nd of November and Figo returned to Camp Nou. It wasn’t the first time but the supporters were still angry. Two years ago, Florentino Pérez won the elections to the president of Real Madrid and he brought Figo along. It was a treason for Barcelona fans, who never forget the Portuguese star.

In 2000, Figo played for the first time at Camp Nou. The Portuguese didn’t kick the corners and he didn’t play as a winger, but as an offensive midfielder. There was a giant protest against him and Real Madrid looked overwhelmed by the atmosphere. The team lost that game.

One year later, Figo missed El Clásico but he came back in 2002. This year, Figo finally won the Champions League with Real Madrid, beating Barcelona at Camp Nou. But the most famous game was in La Liga. Luis Figo played in the wing and tried to kick a corner. He couldn’t do because the supporters were throwing whisky bottles, papers and even a head of a pig!

The referee, Medina Cantalejo, had to suspend the game and the players went to the dressing room for several minutes. The referee wanted to calm down the fans and they gave some announcements over the loudspeakers in the stadium. Luckily, the game could continue and no player was hurt. The game finished 0-0.

The day after, the whole world could see the bottle of J&B whisky and the head of a pig inside the stadium. According to the Barcelona president, Joan Gaspart, Luis Figo was provocating the fans by kicking the corners. The Competition Committee decided to close the Camp Nou stadium for two games, however it never went into effect. FC Barcelona could play all the games in their stadium and Camp Nou was never closed.

Sporting Portugal almost got the three points at Bernabéu Stadium when both teams played in September. The Jorge Jesús side played a great game and they were leading the match until the last minutes, when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a great free kick and Morata secured the three points for Los Blancos with a header.

Among all the players, the best one was Gelson Martins. The young winger shone at Bernabéu and he drove crazy Dani Carvajal and Marcelo, unable to stop the Portuguese player. Many Real Madrid bosses asked who was that player and actually Real Madrid contacted in the past Sporting Portugal to know about the contract of Gelson Martins.

Sporting Portugal have a reputation with wingers. Paolo Futre, Luis Figo, Nani, Ricardo Quaresma, Cristiano Ronaldo… And maybe the next one is Gelson Martins. He’s only 22 years old and this is his second season at a top level. In Liga Sagres he has scored so far two goals, against Moreirense and Porto, and he’s enjoying a lot of minutes, having started 10 games.

He has a good opportunity to show off today in front of the Real Madrid bosses. Sporting Portugal could be out of the competition today if they fail to beat Los Blancos. Gelson Martins wouldn’t have more opportunities to show his quality in the most important competition, so this is a big game for him.

Many big European teams have already asked about the player, and Real Madrid were among them. However, at that time, the Portuguese team didn’t want to sell their jewel but they could be ready to do business in the future. Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference before the important game Real Madrid will play on Tuesday against Sporting Lisbon in the fifth week of the Champions League group stage. Los Blancos need to win or draw to secure a place in the Last 16 round and they need the three points to fight for the first position of the group.

The Real Madrid manager spoke after the big win on Saturday in the derby. Isco was one of the best players of the game and the coach also gave some compliments to the playmaker: “Isco’s position is the ‘10’, but he can play in some other positions. He’s doing great”.

On Saturday, Benzema stayed on the bench and Zidane changed the formation to play with a 4-4-2. However, the manager might change again the tactics: “It’s not that the BBC are not negotiable, it’s because the three of them are the best. All are the best, but the BBC a little bit more”.

About changing the formation, Zidane wasn’t sure about it: “We always study the rival and they do the same. I think we have the best players. Placing them in the pitch in one way or other it doesn’t change a lot”.

Zidane didn’t explain in press conference whether Sergio Ramos or Benzema will start or not the game: “We’ll see tomorrow. We are all here except the injured players, who stayed in Madrid. We’re all ready”.

The French coach expects a tough team, “who is going to try to put Real Madrid in difficulties, as always”. However, Real Madrid will try to win the game, no matter if it’s better to finish first in the group or second: “I don’t make this calculations. The important thing it’s go and try to win the games. We make everything to win. Then, we’ll see the table. If we can win tomorrow, we’ll do it. We make everything for it”, Zidane finished.

After the derby, we’ve seen Isco receiving many compliments. The Málaga born player gave a show at Vicente Calderón and he has earned to start in Lisbon. Isco hasn’t made his debut yet in the Champions League triggering all the rumours of a transfer in the winter window.
