Florentino Pérez is building the future of Real Madrid. The president doesn’t want any surprises and day by day the club is announcing the extension of the contracts of some key players. Last week, Marcelo and Isco signed their new deals with Los Blancos and this week Dani Carvajal is the protagonist at Santiago Bernabéu.

The club made official the agreement in their website. Dani Carvajal extends two years more his contract with Real Madrid until 2022. Since his return from Bayer Leverkusen, Carvajal has become the most important right back in the world, earning a spot in the line-up. He had to fight against Danilo, but the Spaniard won clearly the battle, sending the Brazilian to the bench, and then to Manchester City.

Carvajal spoke with the journalist after the signature of his new contract at Santiago Bernabéu on Monday afternoon. The defender spoke about his feelings with the club: “It’s part of my life, accomplish a dream. I’m very thankful to the club. It’s another big day of my like to remember, extending the contract with the club of my life. I want to win everything again”.

In his career, Zinedine Zidane is very important: “Since his arrival, he count on me and I will be thankful forever. With him, my confidence grew and we’re seeing the results now. He’s a great coach”.

With Danilo’s departure, Carvajal has no replacement in the squad, so he should play all the important games: “Achraf is a good guy and when the coach needs him, he’s going to do it well. Now I’m playing a lot and hopefully I can keep doing it. I’m taking care of myself because this is a very important year for me and I don’t want to get injured”, the player said after signing his new contract at Santiago Bernabéu.

Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane spoke with the journalists after the important victory against Real Sociedad away. Borja Mayoral was the key player, scoring one goal and participating in the second one: “He’s part of the squad, he’s young but I know he could be there, he can have an important role and today he’s shown it. I’m happy because this is what we want about the players, so when they play they can do it right. The goal is very important for him, but, besides the goal, it’s about how he’s done it. He played great, he moved and accomplished the mission”.

Zizou was also happy for Gareth Bale, who scored a great goal after the heavy criticism he’s receiving: “I’m glad because people speak a lot about him and he’s shown what he is. We have to be patient with him. At the end is the whole team. We did a good first half and we came in well, with intensity we are hard to be stopped”.

Perhaps Gareth Bale shines more with space and in the counter-attack: “He doesn’t have only that, he has a lot. He’s better with spaces because he’s very fast, but he’s also good technically, when there is no space he’s good. In the goal, he made it because of the speed, 70 metres in 30 km/h, and then he could score”, the French coach said.

It was a tricky game for Los Blancos because Real Sociedad had won all the games until this Sunday: “We got the victory with personality. Real Sociedad made a great start of the season, but we played 90 minutes with great level, especially in the first half. The most important thing to me was the victory. We had to play in the rival pitch, blocking their defence. We did it great”.

Real Madrid made another record and they scored for the 73 game in a row, beating Santos record: “We have to congratulate the players for the record. They work and fight. The beat this record, although we have now to score in another game”.

Finally, Zidane spoke again about the level of the team: “If we don’t take in consideration the Supercups, this was our best game. I always value the last one, today’s game. We have to keep the track, so we can punish our rivals. I value we did it in 90 minutes”.

Real Madrid beat (1-3) Real Sociedad away in a very tough game controlled by Los Blancos from the start. Borja Mayoral was the main protagonist of the game, scoring one goal and helping with the second one in his first time in the line-up this season. Zidane’s side is back to the right direction after two consecutive draws in La Liga.

Real Madrid travelled to San Sebastian with many absences, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo, Benzema or Toni Kroos. Therefore, Zidane had to introduced many changes, with Theo Hernández and Borja Mayoral in the line-up and both were protagonists in the first minutes of the game. The left back was very dangerous, playing very offensively, like Marcelo usually does. He created the first chances for Los Blancos, but Asensio wasn’t lucky to score the first one.

The first net arrived very early though. In the 20th minute, Sergio Ramos went to the rival box, he fell, but Mayoral caught the ball and scored his first official goal, like a killer. It was a good start for Los Blancos in a very tough game away. Zidane side was playing well and Real Sociedad didn’t arrive with danger but the first time they saw Keylor Navas, Rodrígues could score thanks to a great mistake committed by the goalkeeper.

Real Madrid reacted very well. Casemiro could score with a header and in the 36th minute, Kevin Rodrigues scored again but this time in his own goal. Mayoral made a great play, provoking the goal. Just minutes before, Real Sociedad could take the lead but they hit the crossbar. It was a great first half for Real Madrid, who could have scored even more goals.

Real Sociedad improved in the second half, pressuring high and keeping the possession. Real Madrid didn’t suffer though and they were just waiting for the moment. And it arrived in the 61st minute in a counter-attack. Isco put the ball very long for the run of Gareth Bale. The Welshman, who wasn’t participating in the game, scored a great goal with his style. Hopefully, this goal gives him confidence to show the great player he is.

After the goal, Real Sociedad didn’t have any option to get a point tonight. Real Madrid were much better and didn’t suffer in the last minutes. Lucas and Ceballos had minutes, and the winger could even score one goal. Asensio was the one who scored, but the referee made a mistake and whistled offside. This was a very important victory to stay on the good track.

This is a very tough team for Los Blancos. Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo are both suspended and Karim Benzema and Mateo Kovacic are injured. Therefore, Zinedine Zidane has to make a lot of changes in the line-up and he doesn’t have many choices in the attacking line. Probably, Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale will play in the front, but Borja Mayoral has also options to start.

Real Madrid drew the last two games in a row in La Liga, so they’re forced to win this game. They started the Champions League successfully, with an easy victory against APOEL. But the game in Anoeta will be much tougher. Real Sociedad thrashed Rosenborg in their debut in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday and they’ve won all three games in La Liga, including the victories against Deportivo, Villarreal and Celta Vigo, scoring at least 3 goals in every game.

For this reason, if you don’t want to miss this game, you have the option to watch Real Sociedad v Real Madrid in live streaming at home. The game kicks off at 7:45pm UK time on Sunday.

Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference before facing Real Sociedad, a very tough game at Anoeta. After two draws in a row in La Liga, Los Blancos need to win: “It’s an important game, we drew twice in a row at home. It’s four points and we play at home with the leader, so we know the importance of the game. We are not going to change anything that we want to do”, the manager said.

The French manager spoke about Real Sociedad: “We know we’re going to find a very good team. They’ve made a great start of the season. Anything change for us, we are going to try to make a good game and win”.

This will be the last game without Cristiano Ronaldo and the team will miss him: “We have to think this is the last game without him, we need him. When he’s not there, we have a good squad to play well and we have have players who can make it well. I trust my players, the ones that they’re going to play, and we are going to try to make a good game”.

Without Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale should be the leader of the team: “He can make it with this pressure. The price puts you the pressure. When I was bought, I was struggling at the beginning and then little by little… What I’m interested is in the motivation of the player, what the footballer wants. We are going to wait for the best Gareth. I don’t have any doubts that he’s going to play well. We have to be patient, but he’s used to the pressure”.

Finally, the manager also spoke about Dani Ceballos, who could start the game because Kovacic and Kroos are not available: “He’s going to be with us, with the group. I tell everyone that they have to be patient, this is the most important thing. Everyone is going to have opportunities and we haven’t done bad so far, I think. About Dani, he’s ready to play. These things take their time, he’s training well and he’s with the group. When he has the chance to be in the line-up, he’s going to make it well”.

After the renewal of Marcelo’s contract, Real Madrid have announced the deal with Isco in their website, who will be linked with the club until the 30th June 2022. These are great news for Real Madrid fans because Isco is currently one of the best players in Europe.

Isco had some doubts about renewing his contract, but he finally agreed a deal in April. His current contract expires in 2018, so he would have been free for negotiating with another club from the 1st of January. Now, his release clause has been set in €700M, so there is no club who can dare to sign him, including Manchester City or PSG.

The player spoke today in press conference and he admitted that FC Barcelona tried to sign him: “There were some contacts, but I didn’t listen to them. My intention was to triumph here and the team back me. I want to be in the line-up and win many titles, something very likely with our team”.

However, Isco said that he would have never gone to Barcelona: “Never, as I’ve always said, my idea was to triumph at Real Madrid. It’s true that I’ve been through bad moments but this makes you enjoy the good ones. I don’t regret anything”, Isco said.

The player also analyzed his time at Real Madrid: “I’m very happy and proud of keeping representing the best team in the world. Eleven titles in four years is great. I didn’t expect this, we’ve earned it and the team always wants more. It’s true that I’ve grown up as a footballer, I’ve improved and I have more goal because I Play closer to the goal. Zidane has been important in that. I’ve been patient, waiting when I didn’t have opportunities. I’ve always known that I wanted to triumph at Real Madrid”.

More bad news for Zinedine Zidane. Mateo Kovacic had to leave the pitch in the Champions League game against APOEL in the first half and the player couldn’t resist to cry. His impressions were right because the Croatian midfielder is suffering a serious injury and he will be out of the pitch two months.

At least the player will avoid to have surgery because he suffered a partial tear, so he’ll have to rest at home. Kovacic was substituted by Toni Kroos, who was resting after playing all the games of the season. Kovacic had made good performances in the games he was able to participate.

“Following the tests carried out on Mateo Kovacic in the Sanitas la Moraleja University Hospital, the player has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the adductor muscle tendon in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed”, said the medical report published in Real Madrid website.

After Karim Benzema’s injury, Zinedine Zidane suffers another blow at the beginning of the season. Luckily, Real Madrid have more quality players in the midfield, so the Croatian footballer can be replaced with guarantees. For instance, Dani Ceballos played some good minutes against APOEL and he should be ready to enjoy more minutes in the squad.

The 23-year-old midfielder played 27 games last season, so he was a very important part of the team to win La Liga. Kovacic knows that the competence in that position is very high, so he might lose importance in the squad when he’s back, in the month of November.

Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are the owners of the midfield, but Kovacic is always the first substitute. Now, there will be space for Marcos Llorente and Dani Ceballos. Besides, Isco can also play in this position if Zidane decides to put a more offensive team in the pitch.

Real Madrid have announced the agreement to extend Marcelo’s contract until 2022. Therefore, the Brazilian left back will be tied to the club two years more, securing a spot in the squad and getting closer to retire with Los Blancos. Today, he signed his new contract and spoke with the media after the deal was sealed.

Marcelo arrived at Santiago Bernabéu in 2007 when he was only 18 years old. Now, he’s played 415 games, so he’s getting closer to Roberto Carlos milestone, who appeared in 527 matches with Los Blancos, becoming the foreigner with more appearances with the Real Madrid t-shirt.

The left back had signed a contract until 2020, but the club wanted to secure his continuity two years more. At the moment, he’s the best player in the world in his position, so these are great news for Real Madrid supporters. Besides, Marcelo has become a very important player in the dressing room, being the second captain of the team after Sergio Ramos.

In the unveiling of the new contract Marcelo said: “I’m really proud of being part of the history of Real Madrid. I’m very happy and very lucky to be here. Renewing my contract for five years more is an accomplished dream. And seeing my family so happy, makes me happy as well”.

The Brazilian spoke about the importance of the club: “I knew Real Madrid for the news, but I was taught Real Madrid values when I arrived. Real Madrid helps the world, the children… It’s a great club”.

His new contract will expire when he turns 34, so perhaps we are talking about a one-club-man: “I wish I had played for Castilla, with the youngsters. I feel like an academy boy. Hopefully I can be here a lot of years. Real Madrid have always been my second home”.
