Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘out of this world’ and that he is running out of words to describe his star player after the Portuguese scored a hat trick in the 5-1 demolition of Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The goals mean the 28-year-old has now scored 16 in La Liga this season so far, and 27 in 19 games for club and country. It was his 23rd hat trick for Los Blancos in just over four years, and he has now scored a phenomenal 225 goals in just 216 games for the nine-time European Cup winners.

Speaking to the press after the match, Italian manager Ancelotti said: “Cristiano’s talent puts him in a different category altogether, it’s out of this world. He scores so regularly and with such incredible ease. “It’s hard to find new words to describe him.”

The manage also spoke of his delight at his team’s overall performance, particularly in the first half, when four goals in the first 36 minutes ended the game as a contest.

“The first half was perfect, they played very well, they were fast and effective, playing in short and long distances. The team played very well,” Ancelotti stated. He added he was particularly delighted with the trio of Xabi Alonso, Khedira and Modric, but warned them that if their level drops, he has plenty of options in midfield.

“All three of them today- Khedria, Modric and Xabi Alonso- played well and worked well together”. I’ve said many times that Xabi Alonso has the experience and talent to play they way we have to. He has a great eye for play and is very important.

“I have players in the squad who are going to be very important in upcoming matches. When Di Maria played he did a great job, Isco too. All three midfielders are doing a good job, they have different qualities, but we can play well with other midfielders.”
