Javier Hernandez says Real Madrid are disappointed to have lost the first leg of their Champions League tie and know they have to improve in the return next week.

Real slipped to a 2-1 loss against Juventus in Turin, with former Los Blancos striker Alvaro Morata getting on the scoresheet. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 54th goal of another sensational campaign to equalise, but Carlos Tevez made it a joyous night for the newly-crowned Italian champions.

On-loan forward Chicharito told journalists after the game that Los Blancos have enough in them to turn the tie around at home next week.

“It isn’t a good feeling because we lost the game, but we fought until the end and the second leg is still to come. With a 1-0 win we’re through. We have to take it in our stride, as something to learn from, and there are no easy teams in this competition,” he stated.

And he continued: “The coach asked us to show the right mindset and to play as we had been in La Liga and against Atlético. The fact that the other team are at home and have an added source of motivation is also a factor. They managed to put in a great match and we have to improve in the second leg.”
