Zinedine Zidane’s eldest son, Enzo, has signed a contract with Alavés for the next three seasons. Enzo Zidane leaves the Spanish capital to join Alavés, a club that played the final of the Copa del Rey last season and was promoted only last summer.

In this way, Enzo Zidane follows the steps of Marcos Llorente, who played last year on loan at Alavés and won the ticket back to Madrid after a great season in the midfield. With this signing, Enzo Zidane makes a great step and he will play in a top flight club after spending some years at Castilla, playing in Segunda B, the third category of the Spanish football.

As we published, Alavés were following Enzo Zidane and the agreement was close to be sealed. Real Madrid and the Basque team keep really good relationships and they might close another deal in the future with Achraf, the right back defender who was already included in the list for Zinedine Zidane.

Enzo Zidane didn’t have space in the first team so he needs to enjoy minutes in La Liga to start playing for a big team like Real Madrid. At least, Enzo could play some minutes in the Copa del Rey fixture against Cultural Leonesa and he even scored a great goal at Santiago Bernabéu.

Zidane’s son already know the club and the training grounds because he travelled to Vitoria to meet the staff and have a walk around the stadium. Alavés could be the perfect club for Enzo, as it was for Marcos Llorente, because he could enjoy many minutes and the pressure is not so high in this team. Last season, they were able to stay out of the relegation zone the whole season and even arrived to the final of the Copa del Rey. The manager, Mauricio Pellegrino, left and signed with Southampton. Now, Luis Zubeldía will be Enzo’s new coach.
