Confirmed Lineups: Real Madrid – Roma

Marcelo and Gareth Bale return to Real Madrid’s starting lineup as Los Blancos take on Roma in the last-16 round of the Champions League.

The Brazilian will feature in defense alongside Danilo, Pepe and Sergio Ramos. Zinedine Zidane has decided to rest Daniel Carvajal and include the former Porto man at right-back.

In midfield, the French manager has decided to give Casemiro a chance. The Brazilian has done well in the past few games and he will form the midfield line alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Bale returns to the starting lineup for the first time in seven weeks. The Welshman will be part of a forward trio together with Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez.

This will be Real Madrid’s starting eleven: Navas; Danilo, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Bale, Ronaldo, James Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Luciano Spalletti has made very few changes from the starting eleven he displayed in the first leg.

This will be Roma’s starting eleven: Szczesny; Florenzi, Manolas, Zukanovic, Digne; Pjanic, Keita; Salah, Perotti, El Shaarawy; Dzeko.
