Daniel Carvajal: We have our intensity back

Daniel Carvajal says the Real Madrid players have their intensity back in their game after a long break and are ready for the new season.

Los Blancos have played three pre-season games so far and looked impressive in their last outing against Inter Milan as they ran out 3-0 winners.

With the La Liga season drawing closer, Carvajal said the players are nearing their physical peak and the right levels of intensity – something that will come across in their remaining pre-season games.

Ahead of the match against AC Milan in China, the right back stated: “The preseason is helping us to get our intensity back after long holidays. We have improved and we hope to end this mini-tour playing well and we aim to beat Milan in order to be in top form and get the three points in our first La Liga game.”

Asked once again by journalists about the competition for places in the side, Carvajal said he is delighted with the arrival of Danilo, adding it will help improve his game too.

“The competition with Danilo is very good and benefits Real Madrid. He is a great player, if he wasn’t, he woudn’t be at the best club in the world. Any coach would want to have two good players in each role and the problem of who to pick for each game,” he commented.
