Atletico de Madrid boss Diego Simeone has once again come out in support of Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti saying rumours about the Italian’s future make him angry.

Ancelotti is seen by many in the press to be a dead man walking and he is expected to get the sack at the end of the campaign after Real’s failure to lift any major silverware this season.

The 55-year-old says he wants to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu as it is his ambition to win La Liga and the Champions League again, but the club’s directors have been silent on their plans for the summer so far and have refused to back the boss.

Speaking to El Confidencial, Simeone said the constant speculation is making him angry, considering Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in the world.

“We coaches are in a difficult situation because we have a lot of pressure, jealousy. I always listen to Ancelotti because in victory or defeat he always maintains his composure. He is someone to look up to, the Coach of the Champions League winners, and the players that have followed him have won the Club World Cup. But the situation he is in makes me angry – and I’m not even his agent,” the Argentine said.

  1. Please, Simeone should be worried about his own position and his team. Of course, i understand with another coach at Real, perhaps it won’t be that easy to beat them the way he did these passed 2 years.
