Real Madrid playmaker Isco could be set for a shock exit from the club, according to UK sports radio talkSPORT.

The station said the 21-year-old summer signing from Malaga is unhappy with his lack of first team football at the club, and added that Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester City may renew their interest in the player as a result.

Isco started the season in fine form, scoring five goals in his first six matches for Los Blancos. But he has been an unused substitute in recent matches having fallen down the pecking order behind the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Angel di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The playmaker, who starred for Spain Under-21’s in their success at the European Championships this summer, signed for the Santiago Bernabeu club in a 30 million deal. If he were to leave at the end of the season, the club would look to recoup what they paid Malaga for him.

Isco used to play under Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini when the pair were at Malaga together. The Chilean manager was believed to be keen on taking Isco to the Etihad Stadium in the last transfer window but missed out to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

  1. I don’t think Carlo Ancelotti is the right man for Real Madrid…Loosing a young star like Isco is like loosing a treasure worth billions of dollars
