Last Sunday, Real Madrid confirmed Danilo’s departure to Manchester City for an amount of €30M. The Brazilian right back didn’t reach the level expected since he arrived to the capital of Spain from Porto, and Los Blancos decided to sell him only two years later from his signing.

Now there are many doubts about if the team managed by Zinedine Zidane should sign another right back because nowadays the only player who plays naturally in that position is Dani Carvajal. According to Marca, Real Madrid will not sign any expensive player in that position because they want to give all their confidence in Carvajal, who is nowadays one of the best right backs in the world.

Real Madrid will not sign another right back and it looks like that the solution will be the versatility of Nacho, who can play in every position of the defense. Nacho showed last year that is a great player who can substitute everybody in the defense, even in the left back. Another solution could be give minutes to Achraf, a youngster who is currently with the first team at United States. In fact, Achraf played the second half against Manchester United and he showed very good conditions, being one of the best players of the game. The third option is Lucas Vázquez. The Spaniard winger can also play in the right back, despite he is a very offensive player. Zidane trusted him last year in the right back and his performances were really good.

Los Blancos have probably the most complete squad in Europe and it seems that they will not sign any right back in the current transfer market. The only option is the signing of a low cost player, who can support to be Carvajal’s substitute. Do you think Real Madrid should sign another right back?

  1. I hope Achraf Hakimi gets the chance to subtitute Dani Carvajal. I mean everybody got to take the first step. And we also have Nacho. And we also have Ramos.

  2. real madrid or zindine zidane should use alvaro tejero to the right back against manchester city.
