Zinedine Zidane doesn’t want Lucas Silva to stay in the squad for the next season. However, the French coach wants all the players to be ready at Valdebebas on the 17th of July and after decide whether to bring the players to the pre-season stage in Montreal or leave them in Madrid to prepare the transfer.

The Brazilian player knows that he is not going to play for Real Madrid next season. In the last summer, he left on loan the club to play in Olympique de Marseille under the orders of Míchel, former Real Madrid legend. After a few months in the squad, the Spanish coach didn’t want him anymore and Lucas Silva had few opportunities in France. Actually, he played around 1.000 minutes in 22 games in Ligue One.

The French side didn’t want to keep the midfielder for another year, so he’s coming back after the holidays to Real Madrid. Now, the club needs to find another European team for the Brazilian player and Portugal might be his destiny.

The Portuguese team Porto has showed interest in Lucas Silva and, according to newspaper ‘A Bola’, both teams are already in talks. The idea is closing a deal similar to the one of Casemiro two years ago. So, Real Madrid will sell Lucas Silva with a re-buy clause instead of leaving him on loan in the Portuguese team.

The reason is that Los Blancos want some money back because they spent around €15M two years ago when they bought Lucas Silva from Cruzeiro in the winter transfer window. Porto current coach is Nuno Espíritu Santo, former Valencia manager, whose agent is Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese agent is already talking with Real Madrid to arrange the operation that should be done as soon as possible.

Lucas Silva played only 8 games and 335 minutes in La Liga with the white t-shirt in his first season in Spain.
