Manchester United are trying to convince Real Madrid midfielders Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez to move to Old Trafford next summer.

British tabloid The Daily Mirror has reported the Red Devils are planning a bid for the Germany international, as they believe he is the perfect candidate to reinforce their midfield.

United have a difficult task in seducing Kroos, as the 26-year-old is not planning to leave the Santiago Bernabeu. He has become a crucial piece in Zinedine Zidane’s system and he is happy with life in Madrid. Moreover, he is one of Florentino Perez’s favourites, and the Los Blancos president will not agree to negotiate his exit.

On the other hand, James Rodriguez’s arrival at Manchester seems more likely to happen. Colombian press is reporting the 24-year-old will definitely leave Madrid next summer, as he is unhappy with the secondary role he has at the moment.

Manchester United are first in line to land the Colombia international, but they will have to pay a good amount to please Florentino Perez. The Los Merengues president is expected to request around 80 million euros for the playmaker.
