Marcelo and Modric, Out One Month

Real Madrid have received very bad news because Modric and Marcelo are out for a month. Los Blancos have many important injuries in the team as Gareth Bale, Pepe and Dani Carvajal. Both the Croatian midfielder and the Brazilian left back will be out one month. Marcelo and Modric could not finish the game against Málaga, and now Zinedine Zidane must find solutions for the next matches.

It looks like the defense in the future games will be with Danilo in the right back, Sergio Ramos and Varane as the full backs pair and Nacho will replace Marcelo in the left back. This is not an usual defense for Real Madrid and they must play on Wednesday the second leg of Copa del Rey against Celta, where Los Blancos must make a comeback after the defeat at Santiago Bernabéu.

With Modric injured, the French manager must make some changes in the line-up and Kovacic and Isco are the candidates to occupy that position. Both have showed in other games that they are capable of replacing any player in the midfield because they have a lot of quality. Zinedine Zidane also have James Rodríguez and Asensio in the midfield, so Modric’s injury is not so transcendent. The Croatian midfielder is a very important player in the team, but Los Blancos have many players who can substitute him.

A major problem could be Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star will also be examined by Real Madrid medical services because he has a wound in his hand and he also received a blow in the match against Málaga. It seems that this is not an important injury and that he will be ok to play the Copa del Rey game.

Real Madrid have suffered a lot of injuries in the current season. 19 players have already suffered physical problems. It’s the second time that Marcelo and Modric suffer an injury. The Brazilian left back has already stopped by the FIFA Virus in the beginning of the season with a problem in the soleus, while the Croatian midfielder suffered an injury in his left knee that left him a month and a half without playing.
