Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2021. The president, Florentino Pérez, and the player will offer a press conference to announce the agreement at Santiago Bernabéu on Monday morning. This is the second time Real Madrid renew the Portuguese star after the one in 2013. Cristiano will be 36 when his contract expires, so he could be ready to retire with Los Blancos.

The numbers of the agreement are not official but the Spanish press has published that the salary will be basically the same. Cristiano Ronaldo is currently earning €18M per year and this will stay the same for the next five years. However, there are bonuses if Cristiano Ronaldo wins the Ballon D’Or, the Champions League or La Liga trophies. He could win more than €20M in a good season.

Cristiano Ronaldo had contract with Real Madrid until 2018, but the club has decided to extend three more years the deal. There was a hard negotiation between both parts, because the club wanted to finish the deal in 2020 but finally the player won also this part of the clause.

If Cristiano Ronaldo finishes his contract, he will have played 11 seasons in Real Madrid. He has won so far two Champions League, two European Supercups, one FIFA World Cup, two Copa del Rey, one Spanish Supercup, three TopScorer trophies and two Ballon D’Or. Besides, he has won the Euro with Portugal.

In numbers, the records of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid are also amazing. He has scored more goals (371) than games played with Real Madrid (360). The €90M spent in 2009 to sign him for Manchester United are well invested.

In La Liga, his numbers are amazing. In his season debut, 2009/10 he scored 26 goals. The next season, 40, 46, 34 and 31. His best season was in the 2014/15, when he achieved 48 goals. Last year he scored 35 and this season so far 5 nets.

In the year of the first Champions League (2013/14) he scored 17 goals. The year after 10 nets. Finally, last season he scored 16 goals and this year so far 2 goals.
