Madrid is half empty because on Tuesday there is a bank holiday in the Spanish capital but the press conference room at Santiago Bernabéu stadium was full. It was a big day for Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez because the president got a deal with the star Gareth Bale to extend his contract until 2022. The agreement was announced on Sunday, after the victory over Alavés but the Welshman spoke in front of the journalist on Monday.

After Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Lucas Vázquez, now it was the turn of Gareth Bale. Only the Portuguese players Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe haven’t extended their contract yet and they are suppose to do it in the following days. Especially the defender, whose contract ends at the end of the season.

Bale spoke in English in the press conference because after three years he is still unable to speak Spanish although he is very happy in Spain and he’s never thought about leaving the city: “I’ve never been interested in anything from outside. I’m happy in Madrid and we’ve never spoken about these things”, he said about the interest of Manchester United.

Gareth Bale is still young but he’ll finish his contract with Real Madrid in 2022 and the retirement would be closer: “Of course I can see myself ending my career at Real Madrid. I improve my Spanish and my family is very settled. I don’t know when I will be retiring but I want to stay these six years more at Real Madrid”.

It wasn’t easy for him at the beginning: “It’s hard for British players to leave. I lived some tough moments, but I’ve enjoyed the good and the bad experiences. I’m happy and I feel the supporters love me”. He also said he has made the right decisions: “I’m in the best club in the world. When there is a chance of playing here, you cannot waste it. I took the right decision. I want to continue winning titles and Madrid offers me that. This is a club with the same expectations as I have”.

Bale has also remembered which was the best moment for him: “Winning the Champions League for this club is the maximum. We love the Champions and so the supporters. It was amazing winning both. In the bad moments it’s very easy to pick your stuff and leave somewhere else, but the good thing is fighting”, Bale said. He will have time to fight six years more with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will face this week Legia Warsaw in the Champions League. After Real Madrid victories against Athletic and Alavés a new debate has opened, who should be in the line up in the next matches, Benzema or Morata. The good performances of the Spaniard striker in the last matches could give him a different role.

Karim Benzema started the season with an injury in his hip and Morata was the striker of Los Blancos in the first games of the regular season. The French striker has only scored four goals and his level is quite below as the one he had last year when he scored 24 goals in La Liga and four in the Champions League. Maybe the French striker is perturbed because his national team doesn’t include him in the list since September 2015. French national team coach, Didier Deschamps, said a few month ago: “Benzema is absent because of the welfare of our national team”, after the alleged blackmail with his national team partner Mathieu Valbuena.

Morata signed with Los Blancos last summer transfer market by an amount of €30M from Juventus Torino. The young Spaniard grew as a player in the Calcio and nowadays is an incredible striker. Real Madrid youngster is having great performances as a substitute and maybe Zidane gives him the opportunity of being in the starting 11 in the next matches replacing Benzema. Morata is now the top scorer of Los Blancos with 5 goals, three in the regular season, two in Champions League against Sporting Lisbon and Legia Warsaw and two goals in La Copa del Rey. The Spaniard striker has only been in four line ups of La Liga in the ten games Los Blancos have played so far and he has played as a substitute in the three matches of the Champions League.

Now is the moment for Zidane to decide whether Morata has to play or Benzema. Perhaps the Spanish player deserves an opportunity in the Champions League against Legia Warsaw?

After the victory at Mendizorroza against Alavés in the last match of the regular season, Los Blancos announced the contract extension of a very important player for the team. The year Florentino Pérez is renewing many players of the squad as Kroos, Modric and the last one Lucas Vázquez. Today Los Blancos announced that one of their key players will stay at Madrid until 2022. This player is the Welshman Gareth Bale.

Many journalists said that the Welshman renewal would be official throughout the week. Real Madrid want to tie every player that finishes their contract this year and they renewed already some of them. The only player who still has not renewed is the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo that it seems that his renewal will be made official during this year.

Bale is 27 years old and he still can have the best years of his live as a professional. The Welshman signed with Real Madrid four years ago from Tottenham Hotspur by an amount of €100M. Gareth Bale has been a very important player for Los Blancos in his four years at Madrid and he has contributed in many titles Los Blancos won with him in the line up.

Many people say that Gareth Bale should play always in the left instead of the position he is playing right now. The Welshman became famous for his sprints on the left wing at White Hart Lane. We can remember the hat trick he scored with Spurs against Inter at Giuseppe Meazza and the incredible sprint he made with Bartra in the Final of La Copa del Rey finishing with a brilliant goal against FC Barcelona.

Gareth Bale is the future star of Los Blancos and Florentino Pérez believes in him. With Real Madrid shirt, Bale has won two Champions (2013-2014 and 2015-2016), one Copa del Rey (2013-2014) and two European Super Cup (2014-2015 and 2016-2017). We hope he achieves more titles with Real Madrid being a key player as it has been so far.

Los Blancos won in this weekend their game played against Alavés in a stadium that no team had won in this season. Real Madrid played a really good match where we could saw the return of Cristiano Ronaldo scoring another hat trick for his personal account. Pepe had to leave the pitch because he had muscular problems while Keylor Navas affirmed in the press conference that he finished the match with a pain in his knee.

Keylor Navas played really good yesterday and the journalist didn’t doubt to congratulate the Costa Rican goalkeeper: “Everyone contributed in the victory. All the players ran a lot and the victory is of all the squad. It was a bulky result because we scored in almost all the chances we had”, Navas said.

After the injury Keylor had in the beginning of the season that prevented him of playing the first matches of the season, the Cost Rican is recovering his best level and that’s a good news for all Real Madrid supporters. Keylor Navas made two very important saves when the result was tied: “It always make me happy when my work is valued but if the strikers don’t score goals we can’t win any game. I helped the team with two good saves and I’m glad for it”, Keylor affirmed.

Los Blancos played a really good match but in several moments of the game we could saw Real suffering without the ball: “We are aware that we can’t press the other team the 90 minutes. We know when we should press or no. The game is divided in phases, and there are phases that is better being ordered. We must be solid in the matches we play away because there are no teams that make it easy for us. We are very happy with the victory”, Keylor Navas said.

Pepe had to leave the game in the first half because of muscular problems and Keylor said that he didn’t finish in good conditions the match: “I have the knee a bit swollen but hopefully it’s not nothing serious. It was just a pump and I hope to be find as soon as possible”, Keylor explained.

Manchester United are searching defenders for the next winter transfer market. The team managed by José Mourinho started quite bad the season and the Portuguese manager is thinking in posibles signings to try to improve Manchester United situation.

The Red Devil are in these moments in the seventh place of the table of the Premier League with only 15 points, 8 points behind the leader of the competition that is their eternal rival Manchester City. Jose Mourinho is not happy with the performance of several player in his squad and his desire is to make some changes in the team because the Red Devils are quite far of the European positions. Manchester United are also playing the European League and the team managed by José Mourinho won two of the three games in this competition.

Manchester United defenses are the big headache for Jose Mourinho in this moment despite they paid an amount of €38M last transfer market for the services of Eric Bailly. The Ivorian defender is not giving the expected performance and that’s why the Portuguese manager wants more signings in the defense. Zidane spoke after the match Real Madrid won against Alavés in a tough stadium as Mendizorroza, where no one had won until today. The French manager highlighted Cristiano’s good match scoring a hat trick, the injury of Pepe, the referee of today and the match of Alavés.

Alavés started the game very good. The team managed by Pellegrino scored the first goal of the match and los Blancos had to make another overcome if they wanted the three points:”I do not know if it’s unfair, but Alavés played a good game. It is hard for them”, Zidane said.

Alavés supporters criticized the performance of the referee. Sánchez Martínez awarded two penalties in favor of Real Madrid: “I will not talk about them. The referee does his job. I think that both penalties were very clear, but everybody can have an opinion. In the next match we lose I won’t criticize the referees. They don’t act to help a team”, Zidane said about the referees.

Cristiano was the best player of Los Blancos despite he missed a penalty when the result was very tight (1-2). The Portuguese striker scored his 30th hat trick and it seem he returned: “What can I say about Cristiano. Today he scored three goals and I’m very happy with his performance, not only with his goals. He must continue as today, maybe in future match he would not score any goal but nothing happens. Working hard you can reach everything you want”, Zidane said about the good match the Portuguese star played in Mendizorroza.

Pepe had to leave the match in the first half because of muscular problems and Nacho replaced him: “I can’t say you too much. When we arrive Madrid he will have a resonance and will see the severity of the injury. We need to continue with the players that are 100%. Hopefully he return back soon as Modric and Sergio Ramos”, Zidane said about Pepe’s injury.

Real Madrid won their tenth match in the regular season against Alavés in a very tough match for Los Blancos. Alavés had not lost until today any game they performed at Mendizorroza. Zidane decided that after the rotations he did in the last match against Cultural Leonesa of Copa del Rey, the starting 11 should be the same as the one he chose the last regular season game against Athletic Club.

The match started with a lot of intensity in the two sides and we could saw why Alavés are so dangerous playing in their stadium. In the seventh minute a great cross from Theo Hernández finished by Deyverson, the first goal of the match to the local team. Los Blancos had to do another overcome and it wasn’t going to be easy because Alavés were playing really good.

Suddenly, Gareth Bale had a good chance from a free kick to equalize the match. The shot of the Welshman finished in the wall but the referee decided that it was penalty because of a handball of Deyverson. Cristiano Ronaldo kicked the penalty and Los Blancos drew the match. In the minute 25 Pepe had to leave the pitch because of muscular problems and Nacho replaced him in the defense. A few minutes later Cristiano scored the second goal for Los Blancos with a great shot from outside the box.

In the first 15 minutes of the second half Los Blancos tried to calm the match with short passes and maintaining the possession. In the minute 62 Morata entered in the pitch substituting Benzema and we could the Spaniard striker taking advantage the minutes Zidane give him.

Many things happened in the last 20 minutes of the match. Cristiano had the opportunity to increase the advantage with a penalty, but Pacheco saved it. Only five minutes later Morata received a great long pass from Marcelo, and the Spaniard striker scored the goal that sentenced the match. Bale was substituted by Lucas just before Cristiano scored his third personal goal achieving a new hat trick in his personal account.

We saw a very good Real Madrid winning in a very difficult stadium and Los Blancos should be happy because it seems Cristiano has returned. Zidane should be happy with the match his players performed at Mendizorroza and now is the momento to think in the Champions League match they will face against Legia Varsovia.

There’s a Real Madrid youngster that could leave in the next transfer market with the objective of having more opportunities and minutes. This player is the Spaniard youngster Nacho Fernández.

After the great match Nacho played against Cultural Leonesa, scoring a wonderful goal, many teams have been interested in the services of Real Madrid youngster. He is a player who is always ready when you need him, and every time he has a chance he shows a very good level. However, is the fourth season of Nacho in the first team of Real Madrid and he has never been in the starting 11 several consecutive games. In the last summer everybody thought that the youngster defender could leave the Spanish capital, but finally he decided to stay in Madrid because is the team that made him grow as a professional and as a person.

Nacho’s case could remind us the one Bartra had in Barcelona. Both players are youngsters of their teams and both tried to have an important role in two very important clubs as Barcelona and Real Madrid. Bartra decided to leave this summer signing with Borussia Dortmund in search of minutes and so far he is having what he was searching for. Nacho had the chance to leave last summer to AS Roma but he decided to continue in Real Madrid, but his future in Los Blancos is complicated because there are many defenders in the squad as Ramos, Pepe and Varane. We must remind that Vallejo is on loan in Germany and he maybe could return to Real Madrid next season because of the great performances he is having in Eintracht of Frankfurt. With these defenders is quite difficult for Nacho to be in Zidane’s line up every week end.

This season Nacho only played from the beginning in three matches of the regular season replacing certain injuries in the defense and he has shown the great player he is. Meanwhile, he is in the best age for a footballer (26) and maybe he decides to leave to another team and show all the level he has, having more minutes than in Real Madrid.

The winter transfer market is arriving and many teams want to incorporate players with the objective of completing the squad. Sevilla are interested in a Real Madrid youngster that is not having too many opportunities but he takes the most of the minutes he is enjoying. This player is Mariano Díaz.

In the last weeks, José Castro -Sevilla’s President- confirmed that the Andalusian side wants to sign a new striker in the winter market because their youngster Carlos Fernández had a serious knee injury and he will not return until May or June of the next year. Because of this reason, Sevilla are searching different options for the winter transfer market.

According to El Correo de Andalucía, the preferred player in Nervión is Mariano Díaz. The Dominican youngster has just participated in one match in the regular season despite he played a really good preseason showing his level.

Zidane was the person who decided that Mariano should stay with the Real Madrid first team. Mariano’s role can be important because of the FIFA’s sanction that prevent the club any signing until 2018. The problem is that Los Blancos have already a good substitute for Benzema who is Morata, so Mariano’s options have been reduced and maybe is a good idea to give him on loan.

Mariano only played 13 minutes in the only match he played in La Liga against Celta de Vigo. The Dominican striker had another chance in the last game of Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa playing the last 27 minutes and he was the author of the last goal in the 92nd minute.

For Sevilla’s supporters, Mariano would be a good signing because he would increase their offensive potential and he would be a good alternative for Vietto and Ben Yedder. It’s a good opportunity for Mariano because he will have more minutes than in Real Madrid. However, Sevilla have two good strikers and it would be tough for him to start many games in the Sampaoli’s side.

Real Madrid will visit Alavés at Mendizorroza on Saturday afternoon (15.15, UK time) in La Liga with the goal of continuing top of the table one week more. Los Blancos have won four straight games in all competitions and they should try with this pace with the newly promoted Basque team.

However, Alavés have shown that they are a tough team. Pellegrino’s side beat Barcelona at Nou Camp and drew against Atlético de Madrid at Vicente Calderón: “I expect a very difficult game. Asked about the BBC and their role in the team, Zidane answered: “I don’t take unfair decisions”. So we have to wait until Saturday to see if they’re going to start the game again.

The main thing is to start well the game, as the team did it in León. For this reason, the players need to be concentrated: “The players are full aware of this. If we want something at the end of the season, we need to think it every day, every game. If we think that we are going to win easily a game, we’re wrong. Every game is different”.
