First days are always specials. The 8th of July was the start of the new and promising season for Real Madrid with many new faces. The players gathered again at Valdebebas to pass the medical exams before taking a flight to Canada on Tuesday, where they will start the pre-season trainings before playing some friendly games in USA.

Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo, Mendy, Kubo… many new faces arrived to Madrid on a sunny Monday to welcome the new Real Madrid players. We only missed Militao, who played with Brazil the Copa America together with Casemiro and he will join the group later on during the summer. After a terrible season, the new project is already a reality with Zinedine Zidane on command.

We could also see Gareth Bale, who will be on board on the plane to Canada and his future is still a big question mark. He has not received any offer from a big club, so Zizou would need to find some room for him in the squad, as his talent cannot be wasted. Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez are still working on selling more players and getting Pogba, the last target after a successful summer.

Isco might not be on the plane this Tuesday because he will be soon father again, but Zizou count on him. Even if the season has kicked off for Los Blancos, there might be many changes until the first official game starts on the 18th of August against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos.

Now, Real Madrid players will work 10 days in Canadá to be fit and to get ready to play the pre-season games in the United States. Bayern Munich (21st of July), Arsenal (24th of July) and Atlético de Madrid (27th of July) will be the first challenges for Los Blancos. Tottenham Hotspur (30th of July) will close this tour in the US.

Theo Herńadez has joined AC Milan for €20M and now he is no longer Real Madrid player after only two seasons. Los Blancos continues to cash money for footballers, although the business with the French player wasn’t good. After one year on loan at Real Sociedad, Theo Hernández leaves completely the club, so he won’t come back to Bernabéu stadium.

Real Madrid can be happy to get rid of Theo Hernández although his signing was a complete mistake. Los Blancos bid on him and they spent €30M only two seasons ago, when he highlighted at Alavés, where he was on loan from Atlético Madrid. It was a dispute between the two big clubs in the capital, and Los Blancos finally decided to buy a player from their neighbour. However, it turned out to be a mistake. Theo Hernández has never been at the level of the white t-shirt.

In his only season at the club, he played only 13 games in La Liga, 6 in Copa del Rey and 3 in the Champions League, with bad performances overall. He was supposed to give some rest to Marcelo, but Theo was never able to keep the level, so the Brazilian started in all the important games. Actually Zidane had to use Nacho Hernández also on the left, because of the poor performances of Theo. His attitude also never helped.

Finally, last year he went on loan to Real Sociedad, where his performances didn’t improve. He played 24 games and enjoyed 1977 minutes with the Basque country team, scoring one goal. Incredibly, a team with a big name like AC Milan set his eyes on Theo Hernández, so he can still try to show his quality in a historic and top team, and in a very competitive league like Serie A. Theo Hernández is only 21 years old, so he has room to improve.

With his departure, Real Madrid have only two left back in the squad: Marcelo and Mendy. Last week, also Reguilón left the club, this time on loan, to join Sevilla and continue his development as a player in a top team in La Liga. This should be a very productive deal for Los Blancos, who should have a top player next season if he is able to keep the same quality as last year and enjoy minutes at Sevilla.

Real Madrid players will end their holidays next Monday, when all of them have an appointment in Valdebebas to start the pre-season. By that date, Real Madrid bosses want to have the squad ready for the new coach to start working with the chosen footballers. The first stage will be Canada, and then United States.

Even if Los Blancos are working hard with many signings, and the sales of Raúl de Tomás, Marcos Llorente or Mateo Kovacic, there are many footballers that should leave the club in the following days. James Rodríguez -possibly to Napoli-, Dani Ceballos -to Liverpool?-, Keylor Navas -PSG- or Theo Herández -to AC Milan- are some of the deals that are very likely. However, it will be harder with Gareth Bale.

The Welshman will be on Monday in Madrid and he will see again Zinedine Zidane’s face. His last game was the 28th of April against Rayo Vallecano. Since then, the manager didn’t count on Bale, who was always on the bench. It’s pretty clear that Zizou doesn’t want him, but Bale keeps thinking to stay in Madrid, and maybe play golf.

His agent keeps saying that he has no intention to leave the club. He has a great salary and enjoy the life in the Spanish capital, and he has no tempting offer on the table. Few clubs could afford a signing like him, and no one has bid yet on the Welshman, so the future is white by the time being.

Manchester United would be the most likely destination. The club is working to get Pogba on board, and Bale would be the best way to keep the signing affordable. Real Madrid expect to get at least €80M for the Welshman, although it won’t be easy. Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich or PSG would be the other options for Bale, but none of them look really possible.

Given the situation, Real Madrid have a problem. They cannot have a player with the status of Gareth Bale on the bench. Especially, when the connection Zidane-Bale is totally broken. For sure, this will be the hardest operation of the summer for Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez.

Those fans who’ve been loyal to Real Madrid and have placed their bets for the team, have suffered a few losses during the 2018/19 season. Since CR7 left Real to play for the Italian Giants, Madrid has never been the same since. Some analytics say that the biggest reason for Real Madrid’s hiatus was the absence of Zinedine Zidane, but many people still think that the shock move from Cristiano was the defining factor that sent Real to its current downfall. At the end of the day, no player is bigger than the club, even it would’ve seemed like that way with Cristiano Ronaldo. Arguably the the top 2 player the world has ever seen is a big figure wherever he decides to go, but I think it’s time for Real Madrid stop crying after CR7 and start looking what the future holds.

Start of something new

Real Madrid’s biggest relief came in the form of news when the club managed to hire Zidane back to their manager. The former Galactico and French international was appointed as a manager for Real Madrid, second time of his career. He originally left at the same time than Cristiano, after winning multiple trophies during his spell (including back to back Champions League’s) in the spanish giants.

Real Madrid is facing a rebuilding era within the next 3-5 years, probably sooner. There have already been reports that key players such as Marcelo and Kroos would be joining other clubs during the next transfer windows. It’s going to be interesting to see what the Real boss have planned for this glorious club and it’s road back amongst the greatest clubs in the world.

What bets to consider?

What bets should I consider, when Real is playing? Well, it’s up to you but there are certain factors you should weigh in before placing your bet. One of the most popular forms of bets is “Who is going to score in a match”. When placing bets like this, you should always do some homework before accepting your bet. First of all, the starting eleven will be usually published 45 to 60 mins before the kick-off. If you can wait to see the rosters, you could make some changes to your initial plans (if for example your favourite player isn’t playing etc.) if needed. Also, it’s a good idea to try and see who’s the penalty kick taker in the team, as he usually have slightly higher chances of scoring goals than the other players.

Bet with bonuses if possible

If you’re aiming to place bets on matches that Real plays, you should always aim to see if there’s any available bonuses for you. These can be reload bonuses, free campaigns, or even first deposit bonuses. Bonuses are a great way to add some leverage to your bets so keep that in mind. If you’re not sure what bonuses, or what sites to use on your bets for Real Madrid, you can always check www.kasinoruletti.com that has all the information listed you could ever imagine.

In these days, Real Madrid businessmen are working without resting to have ready the squad for the new season. After the many signings closed in the first weeks of June, it’s also time to sell some of the players that Zinedine Zidane doesn’t count on. Kovacic and Marcos Llorente are already out of the club, and Raúl de Tomás will be the next one.

The striker is now in Lisbon passing the medical tests and he will sign today his contract with the Portuguese champions. Los Blancos will sell the forward for €20M or €25M to Benfica, a good operation for Real Madrid. Raúl de Tomás played last season at Rayo Vallecano and he scored 14 goals in La Liga, but was unable to avoid the relegation of the team.

Raúl de Tomás has grown in La Fábrica, but unfortunately he has never had the opportunity to show his skills with the first team. Several loans and now finally he will leave the club. This is the same path Rodrigo Moreno did some years ago, and now he’s a successful striker at Valencia and the Spanish national team. For sure, Benfica is a great destination for the young striker.

And Real Madrid cannot complain about the operation. In the last week, they’ve cashed €40M for Marcos Llorente, €45M for Kovacic and Chelsea agreement and now some extra money for Raúl de Tomás. The next movement will be Theo Hernández sold to AC Milan for €20M, this deal should be closed in the next hours.

It was pretty clear that Raúl de Tomás will end up out of Real Madrid this summer, but it is still unknown whether Mariano Díaz will stay in the club or not. The Dominican striker will have many important offers outside the Spanish capital, but Zidane might need a forward like him in some games during the season even if Jovic signing let him with few options to enjoy many minutes in the club.

At the time of writing, Real Madrid’s summer spending for the 2019/20 season stands at €303 million – and they’re not finished yet, not by a longshot.

Burned by the failures of the 2018/19 season, Los Blancos have a point to prove and they’re making it by carrying out the biggest transfer spree in their history. The question is, will it pay off or is it a gamble that will lead to more disappointment?

As I explain, there’s plenty of reason to believe that it’s not a gamble at all.

2018/19 was a truly terrible season for Los Blancos

It didn’t need to be the final day of play for the 2018/19 to be a season to forget for Real Madrid and the club’s fans. That happened definitively on 16 April 2019, when Los Blancos were defeated by a vibrant and exciting team who play their home games in white and red, AFC Ajax. However, the seeds were sown much earlier than that – on 31 May 2018, when Zinedine Zidane announced his resignation.

Zidane’s resignation was the start of a series of poor decisions, player disputes, and PR disasters for Real Madrid. There was the hiring of Spain manager Julen Lopetegui, a man whose previous club work suggested he was a sacking waiting to happen – indeed, it was surprising he lasted as long as four months. Then there was the patchy form under Santiago Solari, and the decision of Sergio Ramos to get booked to save himself for a Champions League quarter-final that never happened.

By the end of 2018/19, Real Madrid were not the top-ranked team in Europe, Spain, or even Madrid. Drastic action was required and the wheels had already been set in motion by the re-hiring of Zidane.

From the galacticos in 2009 to the sensatos in 2019?

Zidane achieved the impossible for Real Madrid by winning and then twice defending the trophy the club prizes above all others – the Champions League. He left Real on a high that’s near impossible for him to match (let alone exceed), so why would he return? To rebuild Los Blancos in his image.

Zidane inherited a team that had moved beyond the galacticos that he played in – there hadn’t been an enormous splurge on players since 2009, with the last galactico being the signing of James Rodríguez. Zidane made Real successful by using players bought for the right reasons. So has he scrapped that by spending over €300 million since he returned? No.

Cristiano Ronaldo & Kaka were signed in 2009 as Ballon d’Or winners, as were Ronaldo, Luís Figo, and Zidane himself when joining the club. These were proven players who (with the exception Cristiano Ronaldo) played their best football prior to joining Real. This is not the case with the 2019 signings.

Even Hazard, at 28, has enough left to prove to make him a sensible signing. And as for the rest of the signings – Luka Jovic, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo are all players yet to reach their peak. These are players who are filling holes within the squad and first team – they are not galacticos, they are sensatos.

Will Real Madrid’s sports gamble be a bet that pays off?

Real Madrid have made some great signings during the reigns of Florentino Pérez. None have been better than Cristiano Ronaldo and even he was a gamble – there was no guarantee he would match his Man Utd form, let alone blow it away. So will Real Madrid’s sports gamble be a bet that pays off? Who knows?

Let’s be clear about one thing – there’s no such thing as a sure bet in sports, even when betting for great odds at a reputable online casino you can lose. So imagine what it’s like bringing a series of players from disparate backgrounds into a capital city – it’s full of uncertainty. But Real’s gamble is one made for the right reasons and there’s much to suggest that it’s a sports bet that will pay off.

Consider the team that can line-up for Real Madrid next season.

Courtais

Militão; Varane; Ramos; Mendy

Casemiro; Kroos; Modric

Vinícius Júnior; Jovic; Hazard

And this is before the arrival of Pogba, Eriksen, Ndombele, or any other number of possible signings – without even considering some of the fine players already at the club. This is a team that can win, and do so with style.

Perhaps, the question is not whether Real Madrid’s transfer 2019/20 spree is a sports bet that will pay off. Instead, it might be the earlier gamble of re-hiring Zidane, a manager who has never built a team, or coached players of potential to become world beaters. Will he succeed? Let’s wait and see.

Mateo Kovacic will become Chelsea player in the next hours officially. Real Madrid and the Blues team have agreed a deal for €45M for the Croatian midfielder, who already played in Southwest London last season on loan. All parties can be happy with this deal.

The footballer wanted to leave Real Madrid looking for more minutes. Even if he won three Champions League with Los Blancos, he wanted to play more and Chelsea was a good option for him. Kovacic was an important player during the golden era, but he was never an essential footballer in the line-up, usually playing coming from the bench.

Los Blancos made a good deal as well. They signed him in 2015 for €35M from Inter Milan. He was a very young and promising attacking midfielder, and he was successful in his three years at Bernabéu. However, he played around 20 games per season, averaging a bit more of 1000 minutes. Therefore, they get money out of Kovacic and good performances in three season.

And also Chelsea can be happy. They were banned to sign any new player during this transfer window. However, Kovacic was already included in the English Federation, so he can play without any problem with The Blues. Besides, Kovacic was an important player with Sarri, playing 32 games in the Premier League and enjoying 1743 minutes, apart from winning the Europa League. Now with Frank Lampard should be a key player in the midfield together with Kanté.

Kovacic was signed as ´the new Luka Modric´, but his level is far from his national team mate. He´s still quite young to improve his performances, but he had never showed a similar level, although he could have been an important player in the squad, especially because Real Madrid need replacements for Kroos and Modric. Maybe the next one leaving the club is Dani Ceballos, a similar player.

Florentino Pérez expects to cash a lot of money this summer to pay out all the signings already done. Gareth Bale will be the toughest player to sell, but there are some others that are in the market and can be a good deal for Los Blancos, especially James Rodríguez. The Colombian playmaker is shining with his national team in the Copa América and his value market is increasing day after day.

Zinedine Zidane is very clear about James: he doesn’t want him in the squad. Despite most of the Real Madrid supporters love him, as they showed him during the Champions League semi-finals two years ago against Bayern Munich, the French manager is decided to get rid of him as it happened when he was given on loan to Bayern. Now, the Bundesliga team refused to buy him, so Los Blancos need to find a new club.

All the rumours place James in Napoli together with Carlo Ancelotti. The Napoli supporters are very disappointed after Sarri was appointed as Juventus manager. His idol becoming the boss of the most hated team in the Serie A. However, their hopes are in Colombia, because James could be the new idol for these passionate supporters. But the transfer won´t be that easy.

Napoli don’t want to pay the full transfer fee this summer. For this reason, they will search for a loan with a buy clause for the next summer. However, Real Madrid would like to receive the full transfer fee, as they need some cash in the safety box for all the signings already made. So if Napoli don’t meet the expectations, they would look to some other clubs. Los Blancos paid €80M for James to Mónaco, so they would expect to have the same amount of money back, especially in a depreciated market as the current one. After the Copa América we will know his future.

Most of the Real Madrid players are already enjoying their holidays and posting their lives on Instagram. However, few of them are still working and competing for a title in the start of the summer. This is the case of Dani Ceballos, the captain of the Spanish Under 21 team, playing the European Championship in Italy, currently in the semi-finals of the tournament and with the ticket to the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020 already in their pocket. And the leader of that team is Dani Ceballos.

The midfielder is showing all his quality in the tournament, even as a leader and not only playing. Ceballos is the captain of the team and his masterpiece was the game against Poland in the quarter-finals, where Spain thrashed (5-0) the Eastern European team with Ceballos scoring one of the goals.

While Real Madrid are looking in the market to buy a midfielder, Ceballos try to show that he can be able to have this responsibility in the team. However, this might arrive a bit late. Ceballos has spent two seasons in the first squad after a transfer fee of €16,5M coming from Betis. Zidane has had the opportunity to see him in action and he could never earn a ticket to the line-up.

This season Ceballos participated in 23 games in La Liga, scoring 3 goals and playing more than 1200 minutes. The numbers are not bad, especially compare to the 396 minutes he enjoyed in his first year with Zidane on the bench. Actually, Ceballos made the mistake of criticizing Zizou in public, of course before he knew that the manager was going to come back.

Now Real Madrid have to decide whether to sell him or keep him. There are good offers coming from him, especially AC Milan are asking about a price, so if a good bid arrives, Ceballos might leave the club. His situation is similar to the one Llorente had. Zidane doesn’t look interested in keeping him and the club needs cash. He has quality enough to play in Real Madrid and selling a player of his quality and age is a risk. What should Real Madrid do with him?

This season, European football has been packed with incredible stories and tons of great surprises. While we are all aware of the Liverpool-Manchester city battle, it’s time we looked at some of the drama across the content. This article rounds up the champions, relegated teams and those who qualified for the champions and Europa football leagues.

Serie A

While Napoli has remained among the favorites for Betway bettors, it was unable to maintain its competitive pace from the 2017/2018 season. That saw Juventus win their eighth straight Serie A title. Ronaldo also managed to add 21 goals to his tally, though he only managed the fourth spot on the top scorer list where Fabio Quagliarella took first place with 26 goals.

During the 201/2019 season, there have been a lot of upsets with both Roma and AC Milan missing out spots on the champions league. However, the season’s story goes to Atlanta who booked a spot for their first appearance in the Champions League after finishing third. That’s a slight compensation after losing the Coppa Italia title to Lazio. Nonetheless, Chievo, Empoli, and Frosinone were as lucky as they’ll be heading for relegation.

Bundesliga

With Borussia Dortmund posing a strong challenge this season, Bayern Munich was forced to work extra hard for their eighth title. Niko Kovac’s men secured a domestic double after winning 3-0 against RG Leipzig during the DFB-Pokal final. Leipzig managed to finish third, boasting of the best defense in the league.

Under the management of former Dortmund boss Peter Bosz, Bayern Leverkusen finished fourth. However, Eintracht Frankfurt will miss out on Europe despite their remarkable campaign, as Wolfsburg and Monchengladbach booked a spot on the Europa league. Check out this and more news at the Betway blog to know which Bundesliga teams are in the relegation zone.

La Liga

Barcelona bagged their eighth title within the last 11 years, facing minimal competition from the other two Madrid teams that comfortably qualified for the Champions League. Messi took the European Golden Boot award with 36 goals in the league.

During the season’s second half, Valencia enjoyed an incredible run to emerge fourth place, booking a spot in Europe’s top competition for the second year in a row. The team also beat Barcelona in Copa del Rey, lifting their first silverware over the last decade. However, promoted sides Huesca and Rayo Vallecano will be joining Girona in the relegation.

Ligue 1

Finishing 16 points ahead of the second team, PSG continues to dominate the league. Kylan Mbappe continued with his stratospheric rise to finish as the league’s top scorer with 33 goals. However, PSG missed the Coupe de France following their penalty loss to Rennes.
Lille emerged as the first runners up after sacking Coach Marcelo Bielsa last season, while Lyon comfortably took third place. Saint-Etienne came in fourth ahead of Marseille, booking a spot in the Europa League. However, Caen and Guingamp were relegated, with Monaco finishing only two points away from the bottom three.
