Real Madrid doctors are having a lot of work these weeks. Luka Modric, Marcelo, Casemiro and now Sergio Ramos are all injured and cannot play against Betis this Saturday. One of the most important injuries was the one suffered by Casemiro, especially because he is the only stopper in the squad.

The Brazilian has spoken in ‘El Transistor’ a Spanish radio show where he explained he was working “to come back as soon as possible”: “If it was for me, I’d come back tomorrow, but it’s a complicated injury. We’ve been unlucky with the injuries: Marcelo, now Modric and Ramos.

Although Casemiro is the only defensive midfielder, he’s not worried: “We have an amazing squad; perhaps there are not many players doing what Casemiro does, but there is a lot of quality”. For instance, now Toni Kroos is playing in his role: “He doesn’t have any problem for playing in this position; his characteristics are different from mines, but the way of playing doesn’t change”.

Casemiro shares the dressing room with Neymar in his national team and with Cristiano at Real Madrid, but for the Brazilian there is no discussion: “Neymar is years behind Cristiano; what Cristiano has achieved in these 10 year is amazing. Cristiano will win the Ballon D’Or trophy this year, I’m sure”, Casemiro said. However, he has a good relationship with Neymar: “Neymar is a colleague; I don’t see any rival as my enemy”.

Finally, the Brazilian midfielder had good words for his coach: “He always told me to keep working, because I was going to have my opportunity. He has always been honest with me. Zidane played football and he knows what it’s to be next to the footballers. He knows what he needs to say and speaks exactly. He speaks as a player with us in the personal issues, but in the pitch he speaks with us as a coach”, Casemiro finished.

Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, and Madrid mayor, Manuela Carmena, have unveiled the new project for the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The works should start in 2017 and finish a year later. The new stadium will have the same capacity, it won’t have a hotel -at least initially- and the cost will be around €400M.

Real Madrid offices will be moved to Valdebebas, close to Madrid airport, and the shopping centre called ‘La Esquina del Bernabéu’ (Bernabéu corner) will be demolished. Therefore, the Town Hall and the club will free space for new green areas around Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The most important thing is that the new stadium will have a retractable roof, similar to the one in the Allianz Arena, so the stadium could be covered in case of rain. The aspect from the outside will be different as well because it will have a ‘covered skin’, similar to the Bayern Múnich stadium. The VIP area will be refurbished as well.

Florentino Pérez said in press conference that the stadium could have a “last name”: “Sponsorships are the ones funding these infraestructures, so it could have a last name, but the stadium will keep its name Bernabéu”, Florentino Pérez said. Therefore, perhaps some brands want to add their name to the current one for the first time in Real Madrid history.

Real Madrid president was very happy after the deal: “Today it’s a very important day for Real Madrid and our city. My first words are to thank everybody in this table, the Town Hall and all the people who have worked these months in this project”.

According to Florentino Pérez, this is a good deal for both madridistas and people from Madrid: “Bernabéu stadium is a territory of feelings and around 4 million people visit it every year. The neighbours will enjoy a more sustainable area. We’ll have the best stadium, and we are doing this for all the people from Madrid and from the city we were born”, the president said.

Vanderlei Luxemburgo was appointed as Real Madrid coach in January 2004 and then was sacked in December 2005 after failing to win La Liga title. The Brazilian has now spoken with Fox Sports in his country and he has explained why he was fired by Florentino Pérez.

According to the coach, who has been now sacked from the Chinese club Tianjin Songgjiang, he lost his job at Real Madrid for changing Ronaldo Nazario: “I was doing a good job, the tendency was to continue, but Florentino sacked me after a game against Getafe, where we won 1-0. In the game, Beckham saw the red card in the first half. And in the minute 43 in the second half, I changed Ronaldo Nazario. In Madrid they don’t jeer but they show white handkerchiefs when they don’t like something because they want a show. And I wanted to win the game. The president was annoyed because this is uncomfortable for him. I called me and told me: ‘Coach, ¿why did you substitute Ronaldo? And I said: I changed him because the game was over and we wanted to win, and we were playing with 10 footballers. He replied: Bu here you can’t do that, you need a show, supporters want a show”, Luzemburgo explained in the TV show ‘Aquí com Benja’.

The Brazilian coach explained how the conversation ended: “I replied: Mr, President, let me tell you something. I came here to work, win games and beat Barcelona. I didn’t come here fo ask for a job, you came to Brazil to hire me. If you’re not happy, in the same way you hire me, you send me far away”, Luxemburgo said. Obviously, Florentino sacked him.

The Brazilian coach regrets his behaviour: “Today I wouldn’t do it. But the way he approached me… no one could approach in this was the coach or a player when the adrenaline is still running”.

After his time at Real Madrid, Luxemburgo has worked in Atlético Mineiro, Flamengo, Gremio, Fluminense and Cruzeiro in his country. He has also trained in China with Tianjin Songgjiang. He was famous at Real Madrid for his formation the “magic square”, with four midfielder forming a square. It didn’t give any success to Real Madrid.

James Rodríguez was one of the protagonist in the summer transfer window despite he finally stayed at Real Madrid. All the rumours places the Colombian playmaker out of Spain, playing in the Premier League or in the Italian Serie A. James Rodríguez even said to the press recently that he has had some important offers but he preferred to stay at Bernabéu and fight for a position in the squad. After several weeks, he’s having the opportunities and he’s enjoying a lot of minutes in the last games.

One of the teams that showed more interest was Inter Milán. According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter offered €85M for the Colombian midfielder in the last days of the summer transfer window. The bid was even higher than the price paid for Real Madrid only two years ago to Mónaco, €80M. However, James turned down the offer and he decided to stay after Real Madrid accepted it.

Another Italian clubs like Juventus tried also to sign him, especially when Manchester United signed Pogba, but James didn’t listen to these offers. Even PSG or some Premier League clubs showed some interest. Despite Real Madrid signed Marco Asensio and kept Isco, both competitors in the midfield, James didn’t hesitate and stayed in the club.

In the first weeks of competition this season, James Rodríguez didn’t have opportunities and he missed some important games like the European Supercup. Now, with Casemiro and Modric injuries, the Colombian can enjoy more minutes and he even started the game against Borussia Dortmund. Little by little, he’s showing his skills and convincing Zidane that he could be an important player for this Real Madrid.

James Rodríguez missed the last home game against Eibar after getting injured in the warm up. The midfielder had to travel to Colombia, so the national team doctor could check him but he didn’t play against Paraguay. Now, James is back to Madrid to fully recovered from his injury so he can be available for the next game against Betis.

Casemiro, Marcelo, Luka Modric… And now Sergio Ramos. The full back got injured on Sunday in the game played by Spain in Albania. The Real Madrid player call the doctors in the last minutes of the clash after jumping trying to score a goal. He fell down incorrectly and very quick he realized he had some injury. He couldn’t continue the game and was helped by the doctors to get out of the pitch.

After some medical test, Sergio Ramos was lucky and he only has a sprain in his left knee grade II, so he will be out of the pitch around six weeks. However, this is a knee injury, so the Spanish national team doctors wanted to be cautious: “It looks like an injury in the lateral intern ligament, we have to be cautious. We have already spoke with Real Madrid doctors. It’s not pleasant because the ligament is affected and he has to be substituted during the game. We hope it’s just a sprain level I or II in the ligament, but we have always to be cautious with the knee and wait more more test until we can give a definitive diagnosis”, doctor Celada said to the journalists.

Sergio Ramos was also worried for a more serious injury, so he could have been out around 3-6 months. However, it looks like the Andalusian player could be back to the pitches even before Christmas. Luckily for Real Madrid, Pepe and Varane have shown they could be the perfect couple for the full backs, so they will be playing the next few games. Zizou has also Nacho, who played some minutes with Spain in Italy.

Real Madrid sickroom is full. Apart from Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric got also injured and he’ll miss the next few games, a major problem for Zidane. In the midfield, the French coach doesn’t have available Casemiro, so Toni Kroos is the only available player there. Besides, Marcelo was out some weeks too, but he should be back to face Betis next Saturday.

Jesús Vallejo is one of the players Real Madrid has on loan. Jesús Vallejo signed for Real Madrid on August by an amount of €5M from Zaragoza. This season Real Madrid decided that he should gain more experience and he went on loan to Eintracht of Frankfurt. With the renewal of Pepe in the air, Los Blancos are following his progress with the objective of returning to Madrid next year. The young Spaniard defender has played in the starting 11 in the last 6 matches and he realized very good performances.

The Spaniard defender was included in the list of Spain under 21 and he explained in an interview how he is living his experience in Frankfurt and his desire of triumph for Real Madrid. He explained how is being his adaptation in a new city and another country: “In the first moths I missed a lot my family and my friends, but I’m very comfortable in Germany. I know a few words in German and if they don’t understand me, I use English”, Vallejo told about his adaptation.

Despite he had offers of many Spanish teams, Vallejo decided that the best option was signing with Eintracht: “They showed a lot of interest on me and I wanted to go to Frankfurt. I decided to accept his offer and Real Madrid agreed with my choice. The three parts agreed and the negotiations were closed quickly”, Vallejo explained.

Jesus Vallejo is motivated to return to Madrid next year and be part of the squad: “I’m very motivated on playing for Real Madrid. Since I signed I have the desire of playing in Madrid someday, although my priority right now is to have a good year with Eintracht. I want to learn and grow in Germany and if I have the option of going to Madrid at the end I will be very happy.”

He finished the interview saying what he will say to those supporters of Real Madrid that believes in him as the future defender of Los Blancos: “I will tell them that all the players going on loan have an objective that is learn and return to Real Madrid in a future. I must grow as a player in Germany to have an opportunity to play in Madrid. I also want to name the people in Zaragoza, that was the club that formed me, and continue supporting me now in Germany”, Vallejo said.

One of the players who is not having too many minutes is Isco Alarcón. In Real Madrid squad there are many players with similar characteristics like James Rodríguez, Kroos, Modric, Kovacic and Asensio and it’s quite difficult be in the in the starting 11.

According to Marca, one of the teams that are interested in Isco’s services is Tottenham Hotspur. Mauricio Pochettino focused in the Spaniard midfielder because he knows he is not having minutes and it’s a good moment to sign him. Such is the desire of the Spurs to sign Isco that they want to get him in the winter market. Pochettino thinks that the midfielder from Real Madrid it’s an strategic signing and that he will give more level to his squad. He believes that Tottenham can’t miss the opportunity to sign a player with the quality of Isco, taking advantage the bad moment he is having right now.

Tottenham’s president Daniel Levy, has taken note of the reports of his coach and he is considering ro sign him in winter’s market instead of summer because this can reduce the competition with other clubs and live a new experience. The last negotiations were tense between Tottenham and Real Madrid for the transfers of Modric and Gareth Bale and this one could be another difficult negotiation. Tottenham intest in Isco is not new and even the Spurs were the favourites according to the bookmakers to sign the Spanish player.

Isco said last week that his desire is to stay in Real Madrid but if he doesn’t have minutes he will be force to sign for another club. The Spaniard midfielder only has played 127 minutes so far in the season. Isco has not been in the starting 11 for the important matches with the three managers he has had in Real Madrid: Ancelotti, Benítez and Zinedine Zidane. He knows that it is his problem and that he must improve a lot if he wants to triumph in such a huge team as Real Madrid.

After the three consecutive draws in La Liga against Villarreal, Las Palmas and Eibar and the draw in Champions League against Dortmund it’s the moment to think what’s happening in Real Madrid. Nobody has doubts that the three forwards should be Cristiano, Bale and Benzema but there are some other players like Morata, Lucas Vázquez and Asensio who are not having too many minutes since BBC came back to the pitch.

When Zidane was appointed as Real Madrid coach he said that the BBC were going to be in the starting 11 and that was non-negociable. The statistics and the line-ups have corroborated the French manager theory, who has chosen Cristiano, Bale and Benzema in the most important games. The latest example is Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid last results have reopen the debate if the other attackers should play more, because they were the ones who played in the beginning of the season with very good performances. These players are Lucas, Asensio and Morata. With them in the line up in the beginning of the season, Los Blancos won six consecutive games in La Liga and the European Super Cup. When these players were in the attacking line with Bale, Real Madrid equalized the record Guardiola has of 16 straight wins in La Liga.

With the return of the BBC, these players are not having the minutes they might deserve. For example Lucas Vázquez was playing the 52% of the minutes and now he is playing only the 10% and in the last two games he didn’t play any minute. Meanwhile Álvaro Morata played 60% in the first six victories of Real Madrid and now his minutes had dropped until 40%. In the last 4 games, Morata only played once in the starting 11. However, Morata has had minutes in all the games of this season.

Asensio became the revelation of the season with his goals and he played 64% of the minutes in the first six matches. He was in the line up letting on the bench players as James and Isco but later he began to play less. Marco Asensio didn’t play any minute in the match against Villarreal and he didn’t entered in the list for the match in Dortmund.

Cristiano Ronaldo had been very criticized these weeks because of the bad results Los Blancos had in the last games. Real Madrid didn’t win in the last four matches and the supporters are not used to these results. The Portuguese striker has only scored 1 goal in the seven games of La Liga so far. With his national team, Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals in the victory of Portugal in the qualifying group for the World Cup against Andorra.

The BBC had not started vey well this year and it’s reflected in the statistics of the three attackers. Cristiano missed the beginning of the season because of the injury he suffered in the final of the Euro held in France. With Benzema and Cristiano’s injuries, Bale had been the reference in the attacking line for Los Blancos with Asensio and Morata. When Benzema and Cristiano were ready to join the team everybody thought we will see a better version of Real Madrid, but it didn’t happen.

The Portuguese striker is starting to improve after his injury and the game he played with his national team can give him a lot of confidence to continue scoring goals. The match against Andorra, his first match with the national team after lifting the Euro trophy, was a propitious stage for a good performance, and Real Madrid star did not disappointed his Portuguese supporters scoring his first poker with the shirt of Portugal.

It’s the 40th time Cristiano has scored three or more goals in a match. With Real Madrid he has achieved 31 times a hat-trick, 3 with Portugal and one with Manchester United. With the four goals on Friday against Andorra, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 65 goals with Portugal and he will try to beat the record of Klose scoring more than 71 goals with a national team.

After all suspicions, James Rodríguezwill return to Madrid from Colombia to recover from his muscular problems he had since the warm up of the last regular season game against Eibar. James travelled to South America to play the game for the World Cup qualifying of Russia 2018 against Uruguay despite he had physical problems, but finally Real Madrid player decided he had to return and recover from his injury in Spain.

The Colombian midfielder will return to Madrid next Sunday. James comes back to Madrid with 21.300 kilometers on his legs because of the efforts of Pekerman -Colombian national coach- in forcing his star to play the qualifying games against Paraguay and Uruguay. The Colombian midfielder flew first to Asunción (Paraguay). The coach didn’t included him on the list for the game against the Paraguayans and Pekerman explained perhaps James will play the next match against Uruguay.

James is using these days for undergoing into a treatment in a hyperbaric chamber. He travelled on Friday with the rest of his national squad from Asunción to Barranquilla (Colombia) where the national team is concentrated for the match against Uruguay. When James met the doctors, they decided he had to return to Spain to continue his recovering in order to be ready for the next match of Real Madrid against Betis.

James wants to play the next week against Betis, the match Los Blancos will face in Seville. The Colombian midfielder knows it will not be easy to arrive to that game without risk of relapse muscular injury. He is working hard because there are injuries in the midfield and it’s a good chance to show his best football. James last match in the starting 11 was against Borussia Dortmund and Colombian star didn’t play his best match. James wants to be a very important player for Real Madrid and this week he showed it.
