Moussa Sissoko was one of the biggest surprises in the Euro. The former Newcastle player shocked everybody with his performance and won a place in the French starting eleven taking over N’Golo Kanté, who had to watch the games on the bench.

The midfielder was a main target for Real Madrid this summer. Los Blancos were even favourites to sign the French player according to the bookmakers. Besides, Sissoko left pretty clear that he didn’t want to play in the Championship with Newcastle, so the Magpies were forced to sell him this summer.

Finally, Moussa Sissoko will play for Tottenham Hotspur this season. The Spurs were also interested in signing Isco Alarcón from Real Madrid, but the Spaniard is staying at Bernabéu and the North London club had to find a replacement. They fight with Everton to get Sissoko, who will play at White Hart Lane the next few months. The Spurs are going to pay around £30M for the midifielder, who has signed a five year deal.

“I wish Real Madrid come for me. I’m waiting”, Sissoko said this summer. However, the Spanish club didn’t bid strong enough for the French midfielder. Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Pérez said several times this summer that the squad was strong enough and Los Blancos have enough midfielder to play this season.

Despite his good performance in the Euro, Sissoko played quite poorly last season with Newcastle. Not even Rafa Benítez could save the Magpies from the relegation battle and the North East England team were relegated at the end of the season. It was the perfect time for Sissoko to find a new club and get a better contract.

It would have been very difficult for Sissoko to find a place in the starting eleven of Real Madrid. Despite Casemiro is the only defensive midfielder of the squad, the French player would have fought with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic or Isco for a place in the team.

The Deadline Day didn’t give us any big surprise regarding Real Madrid players. Isco and James Rodríguez will finally stay at the club and will fight to convince Zinedine Zidane. However, there are some former Real Madrid players who finally found a new club in the last day of the summer transfer window.

For example, Álvaro Arbeloa, former captain of Real Madrid, will finally play in a top flight club. There were a lot of rumours about his future and he was linked to Serie A team Milan early this summer. Besides, Spanish club Espanyol also tried to sign the right back but he’s finally joining West Ham United.

It’s going to be the second experience in the Premier League for Álvaro Arbeloa, who played at Liverpool from 2006 to 2009, scoring two goals in the League and appearing in 66 games. The 33-year-old Spanish international will have his last opportunity to play in a top-flight club and fight for playing European competitions again.

Arbeloa will wear the Hammers t-shirt with the number ‘5’: “I’m very happy to arrive to a big club and come back to the Premier League. It’s a big opportunity”, Arbeloa said after joining West Ham. The East London official website recalled that Arbeloa won the World Cup and the Euro with Spain.

“Modric and Kovacic spoke great words about Bilic. I hope I can learn a lot. The coach wants to see me as soon as possible”, Arbeloa said after taking some pictures in his new home, the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

Arbeloa’s contract with Real Madrid expired in June and the club prepared a great farewell for the right back after lifting the Champions League in Milan. Arbeloa played seven seasons at Real Madrid, after coming back from Liverpool, winning one La Liga trophy, two Copa del Rey, one Spanish Supercup, two Champions League, one UEFA Supercup, one FIFA World Cup. With the Spanish national team, Arbeloa won one World Cup and two Euros.

Following Zinedine Zidane’s words, Florentino Pérez dismissed any last minute deal in the Deadline Day for Real Madrid. The president reassured the idea that the club has the better squad they could afford to try to win all the titles this season.

Florentino Pérez spoke in the Deadline Day at Santiago Bernabéu stadium, when he has unveiled a new sponsorship agreement between Real Madrid and Hankook. The South Korean tyre company has become a strategic partner for Los Blancos.

In order to make the announcement public, there were several players at the Bernabéu along with Florentino Pérez. Among them, we could see Isco Alarcón, who is involved in some rumours to leave Real Madrid. Tottenham Hotspurs or Juventus are the team that have shown more interest.

However, Florentino Pérez is very happy with the current squad and it’s very unlikely to see any big surprise in the Deadline day: “We’ve won the European Supercup and we won the two first games in La Liga. We have an amazing squad and it’s impossible to improve”, the presidente said about a last minute signing.

With this amazing squad, the club has the duty of winning some more titles this year, including La Liga: “Zidane, all his staff and the players know the responsibility and want to show what they are capable of”.

Finally, Florentino Pérez also wanted to say a few words about the meaning of Santiago Bernabéu stadium: “This is a holy place for football and a place where millions of football fans leave their dreams”.

This year, the president is more relaxed if we compare him with the previous season. Florentino Pérez and Real Madrid were in talks to sign David de Gea from Manchester United but the paperwork didn’t arrive on time. This year, there won’t be any last minute deal and maybe the only big news are the exits of some players like Fabio Coentrao or Martin Odegaard.

There are not any big surprises in Real Madrid Deadline Day. Florentino Pérez already said this Wednesday that the “squad is impossible to be improved” and Los Blancos will not sign any other player this summer. Besides, no stars will leave the club in the last day of the summer transfer window.

The last strong rumour around Real Madrid was the possibility of Isco leaving the club. Tottenham Hotspur made a big bid for the Málaga born playmaker. The Spurs wanted Isco either on loan or in property but the Spaniard has refused both offers. Isco was even linked with Málaga, his previous team, but he doesn’t want to move from Real Madrid.

“I’m staying”. These are the words Isco has said in Florentino Pérez press conference at Santiago Bernabéu when the presidente was unveiling the new agreement between Real Madrid and Hankook, a new sponsor.

With this short statement, Isco has dismissed all the offers he has had in the last days. Tottenham offer was especially appealing for the playmaker. Mauricio Pochettino style suits the midfielder and the Spurs are playing Champions League this year, so it could be the perfect fit for Isco.

However, the Spaniard has finally decided to stay and fight for a position in the team. It’s not going to be easy for Isco, who has started on the bench in the first official games of the season. In the European Supercup, Zidane chose Asensio and Isco only played a few minutes. It was the same situation as in the first game in La Liga, at Anoeta. Now, Isco is injured in his ankle and he missed the first match at Bernabéu stadium against Celta Vigo and he can’t play neither with the Spanish national team against Belgium and Liechtenstein.

If Isco stays in the squad, he will have a lot of competitors to fight with. James Rodríguez is not leaving the club and Marco Asensio has played so far all the games in the starting eleven. Zidane can choose among a lot of players this season and the injuries will no longer be a excuse at Real Madrid.

Fabio Coentrao

The deadline day at Real Madrid is always exciting. Last year, Los Blancos were negotiating to get David de Gea on board and sell Keylor Navas to Manchester United but the paperwork didn’t arrive on time. This year, the day is quieter but there are still some issues that we’ll know in the next few hours.

For instance, one of the players who don’t know his future is Fabio Coentrao. The Portuguese left back is still injured and he hasn’t played a minute in the start of the season. On top of that, he’s not supposed to come back until October and Coentrao is well known for Real Madrid supporters for being injured half of the season.

Zinedine Zidane is not very fond of the Portuguese player. Fabio Coentrao could be a problem in the squad eventually and if the club finds a suitable team for the left back, he could leave Madrid today.

In the last hours, Inter Milan have shown interest in the player. The ‘neroazzurri’ are looking for a left back and Coentrao could be the option. However, Matteo Darmian, currently in Manchester United, is the other option for Frank de Boer side.

There are really good relationships between Real Madrid and Inter Milan and both clubs could reach a last-minute agreement for Fabio Coentrao. It could be either an on loan deal or a transfer deal. Last year, Coentrao played on loan at Monaco, where he only appeared in 15 games in the French League One, scoring 3 goals. Again, he suffered several injuries and couldn’t play at his best.

Real Madrid signed Fabio Coentrao back in 2011 from Benfica paying a high transfer fee of €30M. He was always critized by the Real Madrid fans and he was always Marcelo’s replacement. However, he played some important games in the Champions League with some good performances.

Real Madrid want to offer to Gareth Bale a new contract. The Welshman deal with Los Blancos ends in 2019 and the idea is to renovate the contract until 2022. The agreement between the club and the player seemed closed but there are some issues that might put some problems in the negotiation.

According to the Spanish TV show ‘El chiringuito’, Gareth Bale’s agent wants a €17M year new deal for the Welshman and the club is not willing to raise his salary until that number. If Bale gets what he is asking for, the winger will earn much more than Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema, currently earning around €10M.

Gareth Bale knows he is in one of his best moments in his career. After leading Real Madrid in the last months of the last season to win the Champions League and finish second in La Liga, the Welshman did an impressive Euro with Wales. He was able to reach the semifinals in the first appearance of his national team in the tournament.

All these records need to be paid, Gareth Bale’s agent thinks. The 27-year-old winger is still young but this could be the last huge contract in his career. If he is set to be the next star of Real Madrid when Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the club, Bale needs to be paid accordingly.

Besides, the footballer knows about the interest of Manchester United. The Red Devils have pointed out Bale as their star for the next years. However, at the moment, Mourinho’s side has failed to convince the player to change Madrid for Manchester.

Gareth Bale signed for Real Madrid three years ago from Tottenham Hotspur for a €100M record fee deal. In these three season, Bale won two Champions League trophies and one Copa del Rey among other trophies. He has scored 49 goals in La Liga in these three years and he is becoming one of the most important players in the squad. Will Florentino accept the terms and conditions of his new contract?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dreams to play in Real Madrid. He stated this in a recent interview and Los Blancos want to listen to him. Now, the African player will play this season at Bernabéu stadium but with the Borussia Dortmund t-shirt in the Champions League group stages round.

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will fight for the first position in Group F of Champions League. Both clubs maintain a really good relationship and they spoke in Monaco after the UEFA draw, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.

In this conversation, Borussia Dortmund bosses told Real Madrid that Aubameyang is still thinking about playing for Los Blancos and he has even rejected an offer coming from another Spanish football team. Atlético de Madrid was interested in the past in the African footballer.

Aubameyang has started his fourth season at Dortmund, where he has become the star of the team. The Gabon-born player leaded the team to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals last season and to the second position in the Bundesliga. This year, finally, he could play in the Champions League and show all his potential.

Aubameyang scored 25 goals last season in Bundesliga plus another 11 scored in the UEFA Europa League. In the previous season he scored 16 goals in the German League and 13 goals in his debut. Overall, taking in consideration the two goals that he has already scored in this season, Aubameyang has scored 56 goals in Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund. With these numbers, he could be considered one of the finest strikers in Europe.

It will be impossible that Aubameyang could sign for Real Madrid this season. Los Blancos have bought back Morata, who has scored his first official goal against Celta Vigo, and Benzema is still in the squad. Besides, even Mariano Díaz has the opportunity to stay at Real Madrid, so the striker position is covered. However, if Aubameyang continues growing up at Borussia, it could be the perfect player for the striker position. Aubameyang’s dream could come true in a year time.

Some English media informed last week that Tottenham Hotspur can get Isco Alarcón before the summer transfer window ends. There are only two days left and there are still possibilities to see a major change in Real Madrid squad although this is not very likely to happen.

The Spurs wanted Isco either on loan or in property to face this challenging season with Champions League and Premier League as major targets. According to The Mirror, Tottenham preferred to have Isco on loan for this season with an option to keep him in property for the next season. However, Real Madrid don’t usually make these kind of deals and Los Blancos should keep a re-buy clause, as they did with Dani Carvajal or Álvaro Morata.

According to the bookmakers, Isco might change Madrid for London soon. Betfair has opened a market in which you can bet who will be his next club from the third of September. Tottenham Hotspur is the first option with 11/4 odds. So you can easily back the Spurs to sign Isco and earn money.

The second club with more options is Juventus with 12/1 odds. The ‘Vecchia Signora’ is looking for a replacement for Pogba and they haven’t signed any other footballer for the midfield yet so Isco could be the perfect solution. Juventus have also shown interest in the Spanish midfielder Cesc Fàbregas, who was also connected with Real Madrid this summer. Another Italian club, AC Milan, is the third with option (18/1).

There are other Premier League clubs interested in signing the Spaniard. In Betfair you can back Arsenal to sign Isco (25/1), Chelsea (25/1), Manchester United (28/1) or Liverpool (33/1). Finally, you can also trust Bayern to sign the Spanish playmaker with 25/1 odds in Betfair.

Real Madrid manager and club staff continue saying that the squad is closed and no one will leave or arrive to the team in the last hours of the transfer market. However, the offers for James Rodríguez and Isco continue to arrive at Bernabéu Stadium and Real Madrid have to be ready to look for a replacement if some of them end up out of the squad.

According to the French media le10sport, Real Madrid are interested in the Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva. His agent is Jorge Mendes, the same as Cristiano’s, and Monaco could ask as much as €70M, according to this website.

The 22-year-old midfielder has started the third season at Mónaco after his transfer from Benfica. The French side paid €15.8M in 2015 after a season on loan and he has become one of the best players of the team. Actually, he already scored a very important goal this season against Guingamp in the opening game of Ligue One.

According to le10sport, Bernardo Silva is the chosen one if James Rodríguez finally decides to leave Real Madrid and accept one of the offers from PSG or Juventus. Isco, who has received an offer from Tottenham Hotspur, could be the other player leaving the club.

Bernardo Silva is a good midfielder who usually plays in the right. He has good shot and has scored 17 goals in only three seasons in France, a really high number considering he’s a midfielder. The proof is the wonderful goal Bernardo scored against Villarreal in the Champions League preview at El Madrigal.

Real Madrid are not the only team interested in Bernardo Silva. City rivals Atlético de Madrid have also shown interest in signing the young Portuguese midfielder who could leave Monaco before the end of the transfer window and look for a club with higher expectations.

Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid agreed a deal for Luka Modric in August 2012 for Luka Modric. Los Blancos paid around €30M to the North London side for signing one of the best midfielders of the world. The negotiations were tough, as usual when you have Florentino Pérez and Levi but the Croatian finally joined the Spanish club.

In these four years, Modric has become a key piece for all the managers. First with José Mourinho and after with Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benítez and Zinedine Zidane, Luka Modric has been a very important member of the squad.

Modric played the first game of the season against Celta Vigo and the midfielder was one of the best players in the pitch. He finished the game very tired and was changed for James Rodríguez, who helped the team to score the second goal and win the three points.

In his four seasons at Madrid, Modric played 115 games in La Liga, scoring 7 goals. His worst season was in 2014/15, when he only could play 16 games due to a thigh muscle strain injury. Actually, his performance could have been even better if he hadn’t suffered so many injuries.

In this time at Real Madrid, Modric has won two Champions League trophies, two UEFA Supercup trophies and one FIFA Club World Cup Trophy. However he couldn’t lift the Liga trophy yet, finishing second in three different years.

After the game against Celta, Modric spoke about this time in Spain: “It’s been four wonderful years, I’m very happy here and I hope to play many more years in this club. I’ve won many things and I want to win many more”, Modric said.

The club is expected to offer an extension of his contract to Luka Modric, whose deal with Real Madrid ends in 2018. He’s a key player for Zidane and Real Madrid can’t afford to lose him.
