Moussa Sissoko was one of the biggest surprises in the Euro. The former Newcastle player shocked everybody with his performance and won a place in the French starting eleven taking over N’Golo Kanté, who had to watch the games on the bench.

The midfielder was a main target for Real Madrid this summer. Los Blancos were even favourites to sign the French player according to the bookmakers. It was the perfect time for Sissoko to find a new club and get a better contract.

It would have been very difficult for Sissoko to find a place in the starting eleven of Real Madrid. Despite Casemiro is the only defensive midfielder of the squad, the French player would have fought with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic or Isco for a place in the team.

The Deadline Day didn’t give us any big surprise regarding Real Madrid players. Isco and James Rodríguez will finally stay at the club and will fight to convince Zinedine Zidane. It’s going to be the second experience in the Premier League for Álvaro Arbeloa, who played at Liverpool from 2006 to 2009, scoring two goals in the League and appearing in 66 games. The 33-year-old Spanish international will have his last opportunity to play in a top-flight club and fight for playing European competitions again.

Arbeloa will wear the Hammers t-shirt with the number ‘5’: “I’m very happy to arrive to a big club and come back to the Premier League. It’s a big opportunity”, Arbeloa said after joining West Ham. The East London official website recalled that Arbeloa won the World Cup and the Euro with Spain.

“Modric and Kovacic spoke great words about Bilic. I hope I can learn a lot. The coach wants to see me as soon as possible”, Arbeloa said after taking some pictures in his new home, the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

Arbeloa’s contract with Real Madrid expired in June and the club prepared a great farewell for the right back after lifting the Champions League in Milan. Arbeloa played seven seasons at Real Madrid, after coming back from Liverpool, winning one La Liga trophy, two Copa del Rey, one Spanish Supercup, two Champions League, one UEFA Supercup, one FIFA World Cup. With the Spanish national team, Arbeloa won one World Cup and two Euros.

Following Zinedine Zidane’s words, Florentino Pérez dismissed any last minute deal in the Deadline Day for Real Madrid. The president reassured the idea that the club has the better squad they could afford to try to win all the titles this season.

Florentino Pérez spoke in the Deadline Day at Santiago Bernabéu stadium, when he has unveiled a new sponsorship agreement between Real Madrid and Hankook. The South Korean tyre company has become a strategic partner for Los Blancos.

In order to make the announcement public, there were several players at the Bernabéu along with Florentino Pérez. Among them, we could see Isco Alarcón, who is involved in some rumours to leave Real Madrid. Tottenham Hotspurs or Juventus are the team that have shown more interest.

However, Florentino Pérez is very happy with the current squad and it’s very unlikely to see any big surprise in the Deadline day: “We’ve won the European Supercup and we won the two first games in La Liga. We have an amazing squad and it’s impossible to improve”, the presidente said about a last minute signing.

With this amazing squad, the club has the duty of winning some more titles this year, including La Liga: “Zidane, all his staff and the players know the responsibility and want to show what they are capable of”.

This year, the president is more relaxed if we compare him with the previous season. Florentino Pérez and Real Madrid were in talks to sign David de Gea from Manchester United but the paperwork didn’t arrive on time. There are not any big surprises in Real Madrid Deadline Day. Florentino Pérez already said this Wednesday that the “squad is impossible to be improved” and Los Blancos will not sign any other player this summer. Besides, no stars will leave the club in the last day of the summer transfer window.

The last strong rumour around Real Madrid was the possibility of Isco leaving the club. Tottenham Hotspur made a big bid for the Málaga born playmaker. The Spurs wanted Isco either on loan or in property but the Spaniard has refused both offers. Isco was even linked with Málaga, his previous team, but he doesn’t want to move from Real Madrid.

“I’m staying”. These are the words Isco has said in Florentino Pérez press conference at Santiago Bernabéu when the presidente was unveiling the new agreement between Real Madrid and Hankook, a new sponsor.

With this short statement, Isco has dismissed all the offers he has had in the last days. Tottenham offer was especially appealing for the playmaker. Mauricio Pochettino style suits the midfielder and the Spurs are playing Champions League this year, so it could be the perfect fit for Isco.

However, the Spaniard has finally decided to stay and fight for a position in the team. It’s not going to be easy for Isco, who has started on the bench in the first official games of the season. In the European Supercup, Zidane chose Asensio and Isco only played a few minutes. It was the same situation as in the first game in La Liga, at Anoeta. Now, Isco is injured in his ankle and he missed the first match at Bernabéu stadium against Celta Vigo and he can’t play neither with the Spanish national team against Belgium and Liechtenstein.

If Isco stays in the squad, he will have a lot of competitors to fight with. James Rodríguez is not leaving the club and Marco Asensio has played so far all the games in the starting eleven. Zidane can choose among a lot of players this season and the injuries will no longer be a excuse at Real Madrid.

The deadline day at Real Madrid is always exciting. Last year, Los Blancos were negotiating to get David de Gea on board and sell Keylor Navas to Manchester United but the paperwork didn’t arrive on time. This year, the day is quieter but there are still some issues that we’ll know in the next few hours.

For instance, one of the players who don’t know his future is Fabio Coentrao. The Portuguese left back is still injured and he hasn’t played a minute in the start of the season. Zinedine Zidane is not very fond of the Portuguese player. Fabio Coentrao could be a problem in the squad eventually and if the club finds a suitable team for the left back, he could leave Madrid today.

In the last hours, Inter Milan have shown interest in the player. The ‘neroazzurri’ are looking for a left back and Coentrao could be the option. However, Matteo Darmian, currently in Manchester United, is the other option for Frank de Boer side.

There are really good relationships between Real Madrid and Inter Milan and both clubs could reach a last-minute agreement for Fabio Coentrao. It could be either an on loan deal or a transfer deal. Last year, Coentrao played on loan at Monaco, where he only appeared in 15 games in the French League One, scoring 3 goals. Again, he suffered several injuries and couldn’t play at his best.

Real Madrid signed Fabio Coentrao back in 2011 from Benfica paying a high transfer fee of €30M. He was always critized by the Real Madrid fans and he was always Marcelo’s replacement. However, he played some important games in the Champions League with some good performances.

Real Madrid want to offer to Gareth Bale a new contract. The Welshman deal with Los Blancos ends in 2019 and the idea is to renovate the contract until 2022. The agreement between the club and the player seemed closed but there are some issues that might put some problems in the negotiation.

Some English media informed last week that Tottenham Hotspur can get Isco Alarcón before the summer transfer window ends. There are only two days left and there are still possibilities to see a major change in Real Madrid squad although this is not very likely to happen.
