Varane

Real Madrid full back Raphaël Varane will miss the Champions final against Atlético de Madrid on the 28th of May due to an injury.

According to Real medical report, Varane has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury in his left thigh muscle, so now is even doubtful to be fit for the Euro 2016.

It was expected that Zidane chose Ramos and Pepe for the defense, but now Nacho is the only natural sustitute for them.

Curiously, two years ago Pepe couldn’t play the Champions final in Lisbon and Varane had to play that game. This time, the situation is the opposite.

According to Marca, Real Madrid midfielder Isco, whose season has been disappointed like James, wants to continue playing at Real Madrid but the club isn’t so clear about his future.

Currently, the Real midfield is composed of Casemiro, Modric and Kroos. Isco doesn’t play the big matches in the starting lineup and, even if sometimes he does, he is usually substituted in the second half. Isco wants to show the fans that he is able to reverse the situation.

That’s the reason why the Spanish midfielder hasn’t attended any offer he has received until now. However, his decision would be able to change if the club start to search another club for him. This situation hasn’t happened officially yet. There are some hesitation but not a final decision.

Isco’s contract expires in 2018. He arrived at Real in 2013 as one of the most talented young player, and with Ancelotti he played 53 games, 11 more than this season. The last match of this season is the Champions final which will be played on the 28th May. He’s not expected in the initial lineup, but who knows what he can do during the game. Maybe he can turn upside down the situation.

According to Marca, James Rodríguez, who also is a key player, has been declared untransferable by Real Madrid. James Rodríguez’s season has disappointed a lot of fans this year.

Because of his poor campaign, his future was unclear. In fact, there are a lot of offers, the majority of them from the Premier teams, but Real has informed to James and his agent, Jorge Mendes, that they should refuse any offers this summer.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, important board members of Real thought about selling the Colombian playmaker, but after a deep reflection, in which has intervened even Zidane, they decided to keep James.

They trust Real number 10 will get back next season like he did the last season, when he impressed everyone with his football. And it would be a huge mistake selling him only because of one bad season.

In termns of the player, he has also thought about changing team, but after this club decision, he has also decided to continue as Real player and turn around this situation by himself. He wasn’t playing too much with Benítez and neither with Zidane.

On the 28th May, in the Champions final game he’s expected to start on the bench, but his season would change a lot depending of what he can do against Atlético de Madrid.

The third straight Europa League Cup for Sevilla is a landmark in history. The Andalucian team beat Liverpool 3-1 in the Basel final with Gameiro and Coke scoring twice.

One of the main players in the final was Kevin Gameiro, who has performed an amazing season scoring 16 goals in La Liga. Barcelona is reported to be interested on signing the player as a good replacement for Suárez, Messi or Neymar.

Real Madrid is also looking for a striker, especially if Jesé is finally leaving the club. According to OKDiario, Los Blancos have also shown interest in the French born player.

Zinedine Zidane knows very well Gameiro when he played in Ligue One for PSG or Lorient. The Sevilla forward has also shown in the past that he could be a good player for being in the bench and reinforce the squad if needed.

Neymar can renew his contract with Barcelona in the next few days. However, Real Madrid is been always interested on signing the Brazilian star and, according to Globoesporte, Neymar can be studying an offer from Real Madrid.

PSG and Manchester United are the other two teams that are keen on signing the Brazilian and also that could afford his salary and the transfer fee. His current contract expires in 2018 and has a clause for the transfer fee of 190M€.

Obviously, no club could spend such amount of money but Barcelona also paid a high transfer fee to Santos.

Neymar is expected to renew the contract until 2022 or 2021. He is quite happy at Barcelona and sharing the dressing room with Luis Suárez and Messi, so it’s quite difficult for Real Madrid to ‘steal’ this player from Barça.

This Saturday will be a special day at Valdebebas, the training ground of Real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane has organised a special event for all the squad and the families, children included.

He wants to join everybody in a BBQ lunch. The picture will be memorable, especially if Real Madrid win the ‘Undécima’. The idea is to create a great atmosphere only 7 days before the great clash.

All the members of the staff are also invited to join the BBQ. Carlo Ancelotti did something similar before the Lisbon final, although the families weren’t invited.

Before the BBQ, the team will train thinking in Milan but they will have two days off to rest. The Champions League final is drawing close and the team is in a really good shape.

Raphael Varane has to decide about his future in the next few days. He’s expected to make a decision after the clash against Atlético de Madrid at Milan.

Despite he was expected to be in the starting eleven this season, he’s been relegated to a secondary position in the squad. Even with the arrival of Zidane, Varane has been on the bench in the most important games of the season.

Pepe and Sergio Ramos have secured a good full back couple and both should start in Milan against Atlético. Varane played 26 games in La Liga this season starting only 23. He’s only 23 years old but he is becoming quite impatient about this situation at Chamartín.

Especially when Jorge Mendes, his agent, send him over the interest of some of the major clubs in Europe. Bayern Múnich, Manchester City, Manchester United or Juventus are some of the teams interested on Varane. The French defender has to decide either to stay at Bernabéu or move away.

Benfica has performed a really good season winning the Liga Sagres in Portugal and arriving to the Champions League quarter-finals where they ended up facing Bayern Múnich.

All the major European clubs have spotted good opportunities on signing the better players. Bayern Múnich moved very quickly to sign the midfielder Renato Sanches.

The youngster Victor Lindelöf is also targeted by all major European teams, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to CalcioMercato.it. Bayern, Juventus or Manchester United are also in the race.

The 21 year-old-born Swedish footballer value in the market is 40M€. He has started the last 14 games for Benfica in Liga Sagres and he’s become a key player for Las Águilas. He arrived in 2012 to Benfica from the Swedish team Vasteras.

Juventus and Real Madrid have to talk a lot this summer. Both clubs have interest in common, especially with Morata. After the Champions League final, both teams have to discuss about the future and decide if Morata will stay at Torino, go back to Madrid or sign with a Premier League team.

In the middle of this discussion a new name has appeared: James Rodríguez. Juventus know that Real Madrid are willing to sell the Colombian and they’re interested on signing a new star, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Juventus have a lot of competition to sign the Colombian as Bayern de Múnich or Manchester United are also interested. However, the Italian team are willing to bid around 60M € for the star.

This offer might not be enough as Real Madrid wanted to sell him for around 80M €. Morata could be used in this negotiation about the two teams.

Champions League trophy

Real Madrid and Atlético will play on the 28th of May the final of the Champions League in San Siro. The neighbours will face each other again after the Lisbon final two years ago.

There are some reason to believe that Real Madrid will raise again the Champions League:

1. Good performance in finals

Real Madrid has played only 14 Champions League finals in their history and have won 10. This is a great record and the best example is that Los Blancos have won the last four final they’ve played. Last time Real Madrid lost a final was in 1981 against Liverpool in Paris.

2. More European experience

If Real Madrid have played 14 Champions League finals, Atlético played only 2, and they both beaten in the last minute. Los Blancos’ favourite competition is the Champions League whereas Atlético de Madrid have very little experience in these important moments.

3. Good moment

Los Blancos are in a better moment that Atlético de Madrid. Zidane’s squad won the last 12 games of La Liga in a row. They were able to beat Manchester City and Wolfsburg in Champions League. Since Zidane’s arrival, Real Madrid earned more points in La Liga than any other team.

4. Team and player believe in Zidane

The good results have changed the atmosphere in the changing room. Or maybe is the other way around. The players were boosted by Zidane’s arrival and have played much better with the French coach. It’s quite evident that the players and the coach are working together to win a major trophy.

5. The experience of Lisbon

Lisbon final was traumatic for Atlético de Madrid’s players and fans. Sergio Ramos’ last minute goal is been a nightmare for Colchoneros in the last two years. On the contrary, Real Madrid know they are a fearable team, especially in key moments.
