The designs of the new Real Madrid kits for the 2015-2016 season have been leaked on social networks. For the last few days there have been rumours that these could be the official kits for next season, and it has been almost made official as some of the main Spanish sports newspapers have published it.

The first kit is pretty simple, with light grey stripes and the Clubs World Cup Champions patch in the chest. There is not much difference between this and the kit from two seasons ago.

The other two uniforms are quite different than the usual Real Madrid away kits. There is one dark blue with light blue details that looks pretty elegant. This could be the league away kit, since Los Blancos usually pick the most unusual design as their third uniform.

And the most unusual is without a doubt the grey with fluorescent stripes. This could most likely be the kit for the Champions League.

With these kits, Real Madrid will surely keep breaking records of shirt sales. Spanish sports newspaper AS revealed a few weeks ago that Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez are among the three footballers whose shirt is most sold.

Ronaldo tops the list with 1,600,000 sales, followed by Leo Messi. Rodriguez is third with more than one million shirts sold this season.

Real Madrid Castilla boss Zinedine Zidane has said he wishes he’d played alongside Steven Gerrard in his playing days.

The Liverpool captain is set to call time on his 17-year career with the Reds this weekend as he prepares for his move to the MLS with LA Galaxy. The 34-year-old has admitted he turned down an opportunity to join Real Madrid earlier on in his career, when Jose Mourinho was boss at the Santiago Bernabeu.

And speaking to LFCTV, Zidane revealed he would have love to have played with the Englishman. The pair only ever took to the field as opponents.

“I would have really liked to have played alongside him. But he has always remained loyal to his own club, Liverpool, the club of his heart. That also is another characteristic that is particular to him, I don’t think there are too many players who have spent their entire career playing for just one club. That is a great strength of his too. It was never possible, because of course he stayed with Liverpool, but I would have loved to play with a guy like him,” Zidane said.

He went on to say that Gerrard was on of his favourite players to watch.

“He’s a player that I really thought a lot of, I had a lot of time for him and rated him. I can’t say that about everyone. Why did I like him so much? Perhaps there was something about him that reminded me a little bit of myself. He made a lot of noise out there on the field but was quiet off it, meaning that he was someone down to earth and grounded away from the game who just said what needed to be said.”

Championship side Derby Country have earmarked Real Madrid assistant manager Paul Clement for the manager’s role should Steve McLaren leave in the summer.

Clement, who has worked alongside Carlo Ancelotti at Los Blancos for the last couple of seasons, have been linked with a move back to the UK for a while and has made no secret of his desire to one day become a manager.

Madrid-based daily, AS, says representatives from the Midlands club have been in touch with Clement to sound out his interest in the role, should it become available. Current boss McLaren, who managed England for a year between 2007 and 2008, has been strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United, who are expected to get rid of interim boss John Carver.

Clement, a former PE teacher, has worked alongside Ancelotti in three different leagues. The pair met when the Italian was at Chelsea, and he took the Englishman with him to PSG, where they masterminded the club’s first Ligue 1 title triumph in 18 years. And at Real Madrid, the Ancelotti and Clement have enjoyed even greater success, steering the club to wins in the Champions League, Copa del Rey, European Supercup and Club World Cup.

With Ancelotti’s future up in the air following the failure to lift the league or Champions League this season though, Clement may decide the time is right for a new challenge.

Carlo Ancelotti will be fired next week, after Real Madrid have concluded their La Liga campaign, according to a high profile Spanish journalist.

Cadena COPE’s Paco Gonzalez said Real will not confirm anything at the moment, but it is in their mindset to release the manager from his duties shortly after they host Getafe in their final league game of the campaign. The news will increase talk of who will be the next boss at the Santiago Bernabeu, and should you fancy a flutter, you should click here for a full ranking of gambling sites and decide who you think will arrive in the dugout.

Gonzalez himself did not mention any replacement by name, but the favourites for the post seem to be Rafa Benitez or Jurgen Klopp given the amount of speculation in the media.

Ancelotti is a popular figure among the players, but will pay the price for ending the campaign without any major silverware. It is in stark contrast to the scenes 12 months ago when the players and manager were welcomed back to Madrid after lifting the club’s 10th Champions League trophy in Lisbon.

This season, a poor run of form at the start of 2015 saw them lose their grip on the title, while Seria A champions Juventus knocked them out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says the club will be back next season and aim to dominate La Liga and win the Champions League.

Los Blancos will end this campaign without any major honour having seen Barcelona clinch the domestic title at the weekend and failing to make the Champions League final after losing to Juventus.

The failure to achieve their high targets is expected to bring a summer of change at the Santiago Bernabeu with boss Carlo Ancelotti set to lose his job, and the club ready to bolster their squad once more in pursuit of dominance at home and abroad.

And speaking to the press at the launch of a new Real Madrid app, Perez said the team would be back and more determined next season.

“This week is the celebration of the first anniversary of La Decima. Madrid do not give up, neither do Madrid fans. And we will try to achieve La Undecima,” the Los Blancos supremo stated.

He added: “Real Madrid have no boundaries. Real Madrid is a feeling and an emotion. We all share the victories and the glories. We are united by these feelings and principles. The team must be among the best in the world.”

Atletico de Madrid boss Diego Simeone has once again come out in support of Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti saying rumours about the Italian’s future make him angry.

Ancelotti is seen by many in the press to be a dead man walking and he is expected to get the sack at the end of the campaign after Real’s failure to lift any major silverware this season.

The 55-year-old says he wants to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu as it is his ambition to win La Liga and the Champions League again, but the club’s directors have been silent on their plans for the summer so far and have refused to back the boss.

Speaking to El Confidencial, Simeone said the constant speculation is making him angry, considering Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in the world.

“We coaches are in a difficult situation because we have a lot of pressure, jealousy. I always listen to Ancelotti because in victory or defeat he always maintains his composure. He is someone to look up to, the Coach of the Champions League winners, and the players that have followed him have won the Club World Cup. But the situation he is in makes me angry – and I’m not even his agent,” the Argentine said.

Real Madrid will appoint Jurgen Klopp as the new manager at the end of the season, according to reports.

Deutschland Radio claimed the 47-year-old will take over from Carlo Anceotti and will sign a three-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu. Other media outlets such as Madrid-based daily, AS, have picked up on the story and have reported it.

Klopp announced his decision to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of this campaign, ending his seven-year association with the club. He has impressed many in the game due to his preference to get his teams playing attacking football. In his time at Dortmund, he has lead the German outfit to two league titles and also reached the final of the Champions League two years ago.

Current boss Ancelotti is set to be relieved of his duties at the end of the season after Los Blancos failed to win La Liga or reach the final of the Champions League. The Italian says he wants to stay in the Spanish capital, but the club directors have been quiet on the subject in recent weeks whenever they have been asked.

According to the reports, Ancelotti would not find himself out of work for long, with former club AC Milan looking to take him back to the San Siro.

Real Madrid legend Michael Laudrup has backed Carlo Ancelotti following Los Blancos’ failure to win any of the three big titles this season -La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.

The Danish manager has praised his Italian colleague in an interview with Spanish sports newspaper Marca: “Ancelotti deserves to continue after the good work he’s done at Real Madrid, but in football results are very important.”

The 50-year-old believes Ancelotti has had bad luck in the decisive moments of the season and doesn’t deserve to be fired this summer.

Should Florentino Perez finally decide to get rid of Ancelotti, Laudrup could be one of the candidates to take the job.

Asked about this possibility, Laudrup, who is coaching Qatar side Lekhwiya, left the door open: “I’m not going to accept any offers from mid-table teams in England of Spain. Those are experiences I’ve already lived. In this stage of my coaching career I’m looking for new things. If a big club makes an offer, I won’t say no, but I would like to try in the United States if it’s possible.”

Laudrup managed Getafe and Mallorca in La Liga before signing for Swansea City in the Premier League. He’s now working at Qatar Stars League club Lekhwiya, but plans to find a new project this summer.

Former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has taken a dig at La Liga saying the two giants – Los Blancos and Barcelona – only have four or five meaningful games a season.

The Portuguese manager, only won one league title despite the apparent ease of life in La Liga, said he was able to rest players in league matches and still win, whereas in England you have to be at your best all the time.

He admitted in an interview with Alan Brazil on the Sports Breakfast programme that he was able to keep key players out of the starting eleven and fresh for upcoming European games – although he actually failed to win the Champions League in his time at the club.

The Chelsea manager stated: “I was in Spain but I didn’t enjoy it. I didn’t enjoy it because I won a title with a record in Spain with 100 points and 121 goals, but we played only three or four matches all season.

“I lost a title with 92 points, but again we played only four or five matches in the season. You feel the pressure that you have to win every match because if you don’t you are not champions. You have to win and win. But it is a big, big gap between the giants and the others.”

He went on to say: “In matches in other countries you can win games when you are resting. In Spain and in Italy I won lots of matches resting, where you think ‘what next’, where you think which European game is coming, where you can rest players.

“This season I rested some players against Bradford City and I lost. That is English football. You are winning 2-0 and if you concede a goal you know you are going to have hell for the last few minutes and you might draw 2-2 and lose two points. I think the difference between the Premier League and La Liga is huge. Would they [Barcelona or Real Madrid] win the Premier League? Maybe yes. Maybe not.”

Former Real Madrid player Michel has said he thinks Iker Casillas will make his final appearance for the club this weekend against Getafe.

Los Blancos play their final game of the season against their city neighbours at the Santiago Bernabeu in a game that could see Casillas wave goodbye to the fans after 16 years between the sticks.

The captain has come under fire from some section of the Madridista support this campaign and doubts have been raised about his long term future at the club. With teh 10-time Champions League winners likely to sign David de Gea from Manchester United, it could spell the end for Casillas.

And Michel said he thinks the World Cup winner will not play for the club again after the season ends.

Speaking to Cadena SER, he stated: “I don’t know if it will be Iker’s last game but I think it will be the last one he plays for Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti is the one who chooses the team and if Casillas is selected to play his final game at the Bernabeu it will be something.

“If you look at his career it would have been tough for him to have lasted so long at such a big club without being a key player. A few days ago he faced [Gianluigi] Buffon and teams want their goalkeepers to be able to play a vital role. De Gea has convinced me as a goalkeeper and in England his work with his feet has stood out, as well as his leadership skills. If he does leave United it will be a difficult gap for them to fill.”
