The two Madrid sport dailies put their focus on the meeting between Carlo Ancelotti and Paris Saint Germain, in which the manager told his bosses that he wants to leave the club.

“Ancelotti tells PSG  of his intention to coach Real Madrid”, says Marca, whose main headline is “The Peace-Maker”. “Real Madrid directors have given him that nickname because they think he is the right person to bring peace back to the club”, they claim.

“PSG is asking Madrid for money if they want them to let Ancelotti leave”, continues Marca. The highest-selling Madrid newspaper reports that Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s owner, stated “Ancelotti can’t leave because he’s got a contract with us”.

As also highlights Ancelotti’s news and they publish a poll among their readers in which 82 per cent of the fans voted they want Castilla’s coach, Alberto Toril, to be the next Real Madrid’s manager.

As also maintains that Thibaut Courtois, Atletico’s goalkeeper in loan from Chelsea, will not return to the British club yet because Mourinho will prefer to keep Petr Cech at least one more season.

Big spenders PSG as also reported to be interested in Ronaldo, who has scored 201 goals for Los Blancos.

Jose Mourinho could be sacked before the end of the season, reports in Spain have suggested.

Madrid-based sports paper Marca and El Mundo Deportivo both claim the Portuguese boss could be dismissed in the coming days following a turbulent season at the Bernabeu.

Friday’s defeat in the Copa del Rey final to city rivals Atletico means Los Blancos will end the season with no major trophy in the cabinet

That, along with the fact the Mourinho has fallen out with a number of players in the squad, could see president Florentino Perez take the decision to get rid of him.

According to the papers, Mourinho, hotly tipped to return to Chelsea, is only on speaking terms with three players in the squad – and Cristiano Ronaldo is not one of them.

The Real Madrid directors are due to meet on Monday when a decision on Mourinho’s future could be made.

Raul Albiol has called for the Real Madrid squad to redouble their efforts and win back some silverware next season.

The centre-back said the squad was hugely disappointed with crucial defeats over recent weeks, culminating in the 2-1 loss to Atletico de Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey final.

While Madrid still have two games left to play in La Liga this year, Albiol said attention must switch to next season and ensuring the fans are happy at the end of the campaign.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he stated: “We are team mates and we have to be united. We all wanted to win today’s match but it hasn’t turned out like that. We are just as united now. We knew that today’s was a match everyone wanted to win, the coach as well as the players, but we have lost and we are disappointed.”

He added that the lack of any major silverware in the Bernabeu trophy cabinet this year was a failure by the players.

“Finishing without any trophies is a failure for us because we are Madrid. We are not happy. Now we have to lift our heads and start thinking about the future,” he added.

Atletico’s Copa del Rey title was the 10th in their history and Madrid press have emphasized that number to make a comparison between Real Madrid’s Decima Champions League, which did not arrive at Bernabeu, and Atleti’s Decima Copa, which did travel to Vicente Calderon last night.

As shows pictures of the celebrations at Neptune’s statue in Madrid, pointing out that Atletico de Madrid fans were chanting “Mourinho don’t leave” while partying.

“Madrid efforts collided with the posts and Courtois”, says Marca. “Cristiano opened the box, but ended up sent off. Diego Costa drew and Miranda scored the winning goal in the extra time”, they add.

Marca also puts a photo of Atletico’s fans at Neptune, titling “Goodbye to 14 years of losses”. “The red and white party started last night and will continue this evening”, Marca says.
