As Real Madrid prepare for a third consecutive Champions League final the draw takes place at the Bernabeu today to distribute tickets allocated for the showpiece in Kiev later this month.

The NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium can hold 70,050 people but the capacity has been reduced to 63,000 for the Champions League final. 40,000 tickets will go to fans, of each club and general fans worldwide, while the remainder will be allocated to “the local organising committee, UEFA and national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters, and to serve the corporate hospitality programme,” according to UEFA.

Both finalists have been allocated 16,626 tickets and the clubs must decide how to share an allowance that doesn’t come close to demand. Los Blancos have 892 fewer tickets than they received for the Champions League final in Cardiff twelve months ago and over 24,000 requests have been submitted for the final in Ukraine.

1164 tickets have been held back for international and special supporters while 2,660 will be distributed to players, staff, sponsors and other organisations affiliated to the club.

The club will hold a raffle to determine who will receive a ticket from a pool of 12,802 allocated for members. The draw takes place at 5.00pm CET at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the club has advised that tickets are non-transferrable and can only be used by the member making the request.

Strict security measures have been put in place to manage the crowd and fans can expect similar controls to those put in place on Matchdays.

The full break down of Real Madrid’s ticket distribution is as follows:
12,802 (77%) tickets available for members via the raffle
