The summer is the period of the year for weddings, especially if you are a footballer and your holidays are in June. For this reason, many players decide to get married in this month of the year, especially taking in consideration that they have three weeks of holidays to enjoy the honeymoon. This weekend is time for Álvaro Morata, Mateo Kovacic and Lucas Vázquez.
The first one was Álvaro Morata. The striker got married on Friday in Venice with some colleagues in the ceremony like Sergio Ramos. The forward married Alice Campello in Venice because the bride is from Italy. Actually, most of the rumours about Morata leaving Spain and going to Italy are because Alice is from this country.
On Saturday it will be the time for Lucas Vázquez. The winger gets married in Majadahonda, a town near Madrid, with Macarena. It will be hard for Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal or Nacho, who have to travel in the morning from Venice to Madrid to attend the ceremony.
On Saturday, it will be Mateo Kovacic special day. The Croatian midfielder gets married with Izabel Andrijanic in his country. Luka Modric should attend the ceremony but many of his colleagues at Real Madrid cannot travel to the Balcanic country. This summer, another Real Madrid player gets married. This will be Danilo, but in Brazil and the 30th of June.
Most of the footballers planned this weekend to get married because these are the first days of their holidays after the international weekend break. They can enjoy some days in the beach in Europe, get married in their countries and then travel far away for their honeymoon. They have one month of holidays, so they have time to enjoy the first days of their marriage in a paradisiac island. Cristiano Ronaldo, for instance, won’t be able to attend these weddings because he’s still working with his national team, getting ready for the Confederations Cup.
