Real Madrid players and coach were very happy after the victory against Club América to seal a place in the FIFA Clubs World Cup on Sunday. According to the French manager, the game wasn’t easy and the team didn’t play a great game but the goal was accomplished.

About the game, Zidane wanted to highlight the second half: “At the end we got what we were looking for. The first half was a bit difficult because the pitch was hard and the ball didn’t run. In the second half, it was better. We had to kill the game and we did it at the end. Now we have the most important game, it’s to win the trophy. We are going to rest well because we’re playing again on Sunday. We came for the trophy and we go for it”.

After the game, Benzema said Zidane was like a brother to him. The striker went to the bench to hug Zidane in the first goal: “I greeted Benzema for the goal. He didn’t say anything to me. I’m happy because it’s always important that a striker scores, like Cristiano did. I’m happy for him every time he scores, like with everybody else. The hug it was because I was happy and we were winning the game, but there is still one match left”.

Zizou also spoke about the final on Sunday: “You never know what it’s going to happen and because of that we saw all the team. We know who are we facing. Now we have to rest and think in the final. We came from very far away and it’s only one game left to lift the title. We’re ready, especially in motivation. We want to do everything to win the World Cup. There is no special player, it’s the Japonese team and it won’t be easy”.

About the Video Review System, Zidane spoke against the technology: “The problem is that we need to adapt to what FIFA wants. I have my idea. In this action it created confusion. Perhaps, everything need to be more clear. The technology should improve the situation”, Zidane finished.
