Mateo Kovacic

Mateo Kovacic could leave Real Madrid this summer. The Croatian midfielder arrived last July from Inter Milano for a 35 M€ transfer fee. In this season, he hasn’t had many opportunities and has never shown why he should stay longer at Madrid.

Los Blancos are looking for new players in the midfield and, if some other players arrive, Kovacic could be one of the first footballers to leave the club. He knows it but it’s certain he doesn’t want to come back to Inter.

Kovacic said to Mediaset that he won’t never come back to Inter because he maintain a very bad relationship with the club coach, Roberto Mancini. Even if he likes ‘neroazzurri’ policy and club, he will never wear the t-shirt if Mancini is the coach. Other Italian clubs such as Milan or Juventus have shown interest on signing the Croatian midfielder.

The 22-year-old Croatian had several opportunities with Rafa Benítez but Zidane didn’t really count on him. In his first season at Real Madrid, Kovacic played 25 games in La Liga and only 8 in the starting lineup, scoring no goals.
