Bayern Múnich will receive Real Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League quarter finals at the Allianz Arena. Carlo Ancelotti is already preparing the game with his players after thrashing Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The good atmosphere was broken on Monday because Robert Lewandowski couldn’t train with his team mates and he’s a major doubt for the clash.

The Polish striker suffered some problems in his shoulder during the game against Borussia Dortmund, where he scored a brace against his former colleagues. Now, Ancelotti hopes that Lewandowski could be recover to face Real Madrid. Actually, the Polish is always a threat to Los Blancos and he was able to score 5 goals with Borussia Dortmund against Mourinho’s team.

Lewandowski joins Matt Hummels, who couldn’t train on Sunday, so he could also miss the game on Wednesday. Hummels is a very important important player in the defensive area for Ancelotti, with Javi Martínez on his side. The good news for the Italian manager is Manuel Neuer, who trained normally on Monday and he could be ready to play in the Champions League.

The referee of the game will be Nicola Rizzoli, with great international experience. Real Madrid have had good results with him. The last game was against PSG at home in the last season (0-0). Before, he was the referee in the visit to Liverpool (0-3) in 2015 or to Lyon (0-2) in 2011. He was also present in the trip to White Hart Lane (0-1) in the quarter-finals.

The players and the businessmen of Bayern Múnich are already thinking about the game and they see Real Madrid as a threat. For instance, Lahm knows very well the danger of Real Madrid: “We have to avoid their counter-attacks”, the captain said. The right back is confident, as well as his president, Karl-Heinz Rumenigge: “If someone is able to knock-out Real Madrid, this is Bayern Múnich”, he said. However, Rummenige knows that they would have to play an “extraordinary” tie to go through.
