For this reasons, some La Liga clubs discard the operation and some other bigger clubs in Europe like Olympique Lyonnais showed more interest. He also had a lot of offers to leave the club in winter, but the player refused to go on loan to any club.

Mariano Díaz didn’t have many opportunities this season. The Dominican Republic striker played 13 games this season, scoring 5 goals. However, he’s shown great skills since he arrived to Madrid and he could be able to succeed in a competitive league like the French championship.
