Real Madrid lost two points (2-2) in the first game at home in La Liga against Valencia despite the great performance showed by Marco Asensio. Benzema missed four or five clear chances to score and Los Blancos couldn’t get the three points although they played much better than their rival.
With Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence, it was time for Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale to stand out. The French striker was protagonist of the game, but he was really unlucky, missing several chances. However, the Welshman was unnoticed during the game, adding another poor performance to his sheet and he was even substituted in the last 20 minutes. The crowd whistled him when he left the pitch.
We only have 4 days to the deadline day in the summer transfer window. Therefore, there is time to sell Gareth Bale and improve the squad. The Welshman was supposed to add quality to the team and fight with Cristiano Ronaldo as the Real Madrid star. However, the supporters miss the Portuguese striker, because Bale is unable to show his skills.
Last season he started very well, scoring several goals when Cristiano was injured. However, his physical problems prevented him from shining during the season and his star turned off very quickly. Now even Marco Asensio is playing much better, deserving a spot in the line-up in the important games. The debate is not whether Isco or Bale should be in the starting eleven, but if the Welshman should be ahead of the new Spanish star.
PSG are about to announce the signing of Kylian Mbappé. Real Madrid have missed a really good chance to exchange Bale for Mbappé and improve the squad. Florentino Pérez would have got a younger player, eager to win all the titles in Europe and would have got ridden of Bale, who is always injured. Besides, the Welshman can still be sold to a Premier League team for a good amount of money. If Bale continues with this level, in one year time his price in the market would drop.
Do you think Bale should be sold during these last days of the summer transfer window?
