New Real Madrid player Isco has said he has been impressed with the progress the team has made in pre-season so far.

Los Blancos beat big-spending French champions PSG 1-0 thanks to an early Karim Benzema strike. It followed an easy win over Bournemouth last week and a 2-2 draw with Lyon mid-week.

The team will now head off to the US for their tour, and Isco said the squad was settling down nicely and had a good attitude to face the long season ahead.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he stated: “I’m happy with the work we are doing. It’s early, but we have a great team with great players and a very good attitude. We are on the right track.”

The 21-year-old, who signed from La Liga rivals Malaga, added no individual is bigger than the team and that Los Blancos will try to play an attractive, attack-minded game this year.

“The team’s quality is impressive and that is important. The way the team plays is more important than individual players. We are a young team with a future. What we Ancelotti asks is for us to play well, play creatively and keep the ball,” he said.
