Manchester City have put a huge price tag of 84 million euros on Sergio Aguero, in their increased efforts to ward off Real Madrid from signing the Argentine striker, according to SportsDirectNews.com.

The forward signed from Real’s city rivals Atletico for a reported 45 million euros and is in red hot form, having scored 13 goals in his last 13 matches in all appearances, including a brace in City’s last match against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Aguero did sign a new deal in the summer until 2017, and is now one of the highest paid players at the club on 215,000 euros per week.

He is also a cult hero at the Etihad, having scored a stoppage time winner in the last game of the season to win Manchester City their first league title for 44 years in 2012, and is adored by the City faithful.

Real have been reportedly chasing the Argentine for a while now, going back as far as when he broke through at Independiente, his first club, and in his current spell at Manchester.

As “The Citizens” are financially strong thanks to Arab backing, it is clear Real would have to make City an offer similar to the Bale deal.
