Real Madrid drew the third game in a row in Dortmund against Borussia. Los Blancos lost another two points in the last minutes of the game, like on Saturday in Las Palmas. This time was Schurrle the one that denied Real Madrid’s victory.

Zinedine Zidane was very angry after the game and he couldn’t hide his disappointment: “We’re pissed off because we did a great game, offensively and defensively, the game we wanted. At the end it’s always the same, it’s already the third game. I’m pissed off for the players, it’s not deserved. At the end it’s not a bad result, but playing like this, it’s tough”.

The French manager analyzed why Real Madrid are having these problems in the last minutes of the game: “We need another goal. With only one goal ahead, this could happen. Football is like that. Sometimes you don’t get the results but we’ll keep going”.

James Rodríguez and Keylor Navas were the two surprises in the starting eleven. The manager was happy about the goalkeeper: “He played well in overall. He hasn’t played in four months. Zidane was also happy with the Colombian: “I was looking was James did. He didn’t have many chances but he’s done a good job with Weigl”, the coach said.

According to Zidane the team played better in Dortmund than in Las Palmas: “On Saturday we had a lack of concentration, but today I can’t say that. We suffered a lot the pressure, but it’s normal here”. Finally, Zizou said that he “didn’t regret not making any changes before”. Real Madrid could have won in Germany but, again, at the end of the game, the rival scored the draw. Los Blancos dominated the game, scored first twice but couldn’t obtain the victory for the first time in the history in the Westfallen Stadium.

Keylor Navas started for the first time in the season and was one of the protagonist of the game, both for his mistake in the first goal and for the many saves. Cristiano Ronaldo also played better than Las Palmas answering to all the criticism in these past weeks.

Real Madrid started the game quite well. The midfielders had the ball and Los Blancos took the control, even Cristiano could score from a free kick. However, in the minute 10th, Borussia Dortmund started to arrive to Keylor Navas’ goal, who was great to save a couple of chances. But Real Madrid took the lead quite quickly, in the 17th minute, thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo. The game was quite balanced but Keylor Navas made a mistake and Aubameyang scored the draw. In the last minute of the first half, Cristiano scored from a header but he was in offside.

In the second half, Real Madrid looked for the second goal and tried harder and harder. Finally, Varane scored the second goal after a missed chance from Benzema. The French guy was one of the worse players of the team, but Zidane didn’t change him until the end. Borussia Dortmund pushed for the goal but Keylor Navas answered to all the chances. However, in the 86th minute, Schurrle scored thanks to a great shot with the left.

Finally, good draw for Real Madrid and good result after playing much better but, again at the end, couldn’t held the result. Los Blancos are in the second position of the group stage after Borussia Dortmund with the same points -4-. Then, Sporting Lisbon with 3 points and Legia Warsaw with 0 points close the group.

Real Madrid are having trouble in the midfield, especially after Casemiro got injured. The Brazilian is the only stopper in the squad and he got injured in the game against Espanyol 10 days ago. He has a problem in his fibula and will miss the next month of competition.

Zinedine Zidane is already thinking how he can replace the Brazilian midfielder. Real Madrid had a specialist in this position but he left the club in summer and now is shining in La Liga. We’re talking about Marcos Llorente, who is playing in Alavés, the team who is surprising everybody in the first two months of competition.

Alavés beat yesterday (3-1) Granada and are now very close to the European positions. For a newly promoted team is a really good start of the season. Even more if more than ten players are new and the coach, Mauricio Pellegrino, arrived as well in summer. Alavés was able to beat Barcelona at Nou Camp in a shocking defeat and drew in the first game of La Liga at Vicente Calderón against Atlético de Madrid.

Marcos Llorente has been a key player in this good start of the season. The defensive midfielder is showing great defensive skills and he’s giving the right balance to the team. Pellegrino’s defensive ideas match perfectly with the former Real Madrid player.

Zizou spoke about Llorente this week and how the club decided to give him on loan one season, so he could play 30 games in the top division and after come back to the capital. However, some people are saying that Llorente could even come back earlier, especially if Casemiro is having injury problems and the Spaniard continues playing that well.

But Alavés boss, Joseán Querejeta, has already said that this is not a possibility. In the loan deal, there is no option for Llorente to go back to Real Madrid as early as in January. So Los Blancos will have to wait until June to get back one of the most promising players in this start of the season.

Los Blancos are a bit depressed after dropping four points in just two games but they are still top of the table in La Liga. The French manager has more problems in the other lines. Casemiro is still injured, so Mateo Kovacic or James Rodríguez should replace the Brazilian stopper. The history is on the German side. Real Madrid have never won in the Signal Iduna Park. In the quarterfinals in 2014, Los Blancos suffered a defeat (2-0) but they could qualify to the semifinals despite a horrendous game under Ancelotti’s management. The team wasn’t that lucky in 2013, when they lost 4-1 in semifinales with Lewandowski scoring all four goals.

All the journalists around Real Madrid are speaking about Cristiano Ronaldo’s substitution at Las Palmas. The French manager changed Cristiano Ronaldo in the 70th minute and this is not a normal situation for the Portuguese, who left the pitch very angry.

The French coach spoke in the press conference before the very important game against Borussia Dortmund about this polemic: “I took a decision for the good sake of the player. After, people speak more about the substitution than about tomorrow’s game… It’s what it is, we have to live with that. We’re calm. I’m not stupid and Cristiano is intelligent. We are here for the same goal”, Zidane analyzed.

The teams have some doubts after losing four points in the last two games of La Liga, but Zizou is still happy with the performance: “I think we are giving a good image. We want always to play, we look for the game. We are always in the pitch to win the games”. According the the French manager there aren’t any doubts: “The draws didn’t generate any doubt. […] The team is fine, although no one likes to lose four points in two games. Sometimes is better a call to attention and keep working”.

Zidane didn’t want to answer about one of the major doubts before the clash tomorrow. Who will be in the goal, Kiko Casilla or Keylor Navas. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow: “I speak with the goalkeepers sometimes. They know what I think about the rotations. We’ll see what happens. The important thing is that both are ready, and we have Rubén as well”, Zidane commented.

It is the toughest game Real Madrid have played this season and Zidane knows it very well: “I expect a very disputed game. It’s a team that plays football very well, but this club’s philosophy hasn’t changed. And we also like to play and we’re going to play”.

Zinedine Zidane’s men have to face the most difficult game of the season so far in Germany. Borussia Dortmund is a fear rival and they have won the last four games in a row, scoring 20 goals and only conceding two. The match is also the toughest in the Champions League group stage because the German side should the the main rival to get the first place in the group. Therefore, it’s a very important game.

Zinedine Zidane has called the whole squad available to travel to Germany. The main news is that Fabio Coentrao is included in the list for the first time of the season and has boarded in the plane to Dortmund. The Portuguese left back got injured in the 13th of April in a training session with his former club. Since then, the defender hasn’t played any minute.

Fabio Coentrao suffered a serious harmstring injury in his right leg, so he needed some time to train and recover from the injury. Finally, the Portuguese is back to the list, although is very unlikely that Zidane can choose him after so much time stopped. It’s very important for the team to recover Fabio Coentrao, especially at this moment, when Marcelo is still injured and there is no other left back in the squad.

At the moment, Nacho, Carvajal or Danilo were covering this position in the last games, but none of them are left-footed. Coentrao suffered several injuries when playing for Real Madrid in the past but he was a key player in the important games, because of his defensive skills. Actually, against Bayern Munich three years ago, Coentrao played one of the best games of his career giving an assist to Karim Benzema opener goal.

The only two players not included in the list are Casemiro and Marcelo. Both Brazilian players are still injured and cannot participate this week. After Real Madrid draw against Las Palmas, it is the moment to think what mistakes the team made. This is the second draw in a row but Los Blancos still are in the top of the table. One of the surprises we saw this weekend was the substitution of Cristiano Ronaldo in the minute 72, replaced by Lucas Vázquez.

We know Zinedine Zidane is making rotations in all the matches. In fact, he used in the beginning of the season all his players of the squad except Fabio Coentrao and Keylor Navas, both are injured. When the match finished the journalists asked the manager why he changed the Portuguese. Zidane explained it saying that he was thinking on the match they have to play next Tuesday against Borussia Dortmund in Champions.

The rotations are good because the season is quite long and you have to give a rest to your players. There are players that usually don´t rotate. This example is Cristiano Ronaldo. We know that the Portuguese star want to play every minute of the season and maybe if you replace him, he can get angry.

Last year Cristiano was changed in all the regular season two times. The same number as this year, but the Portuguese only has played three matches in La Liga. In the other game Cristiano was changed was against Osasuna. He replaced Karim Benzema in the last 20 minutes when the result was 5-1. This weekend we saw Cristiano leaving the pitch in the minute 72 but with a very tight result 1-2. Cristiano saw on the bench how Las Palmas scored the goal of the draw in the last five minutes.

It looks like Zinedine Zidane wants to take care of his star replacing him in the matches before the Champions League. We don´t usually see Cristiano leaving the pitch if it´s not because of an injury. Should Cristiano play every single minute?

The star of Borussia Dortmund is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. According to AS,Real Madrid are thinking in signing him for the next season.

The Gabonese striker played a very good season last year. He scored 39 goals in 49 games. These are statistics of a player that can play in any team. This year he has started very good and we hope he doesn´t score against Real Madrid next Tuesday. Aubameyang has scored 6 goals in 7 games in the beginning of this season, scoring four of them in only 10 days.

This will be the fourth year in Dortmund and maybe it’s the moment to change team. The Gabonese striker has 27 years old and nowadays he is in the best moment of his career. The characteristics of this great striker are the ones that Real Madrid are looking for. Not too many players can run as Aubameyang. He is like an athlete and he will complement very good with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

This is not the first time Real Madrid are interested in this player and the Gabonese has said several times that he would like to play in the future for Los Blancos. His grandfather was from Ávila and Aubameyang promised him that before he retires he would play in Real Madrid. He knows that signing for Real Madrid is not easy but it is something he has in his mind. The Gabonese striker wants to come to La Liga because he would make very happy her mother, born in Spain.

Aubameyang could be a very good sign for Los Blancos but if he comes a striker would have to leave. Zinedine Zidane will have to choose between Morata or Benzema if the Gabonese finally signs with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid lost two more points this weekend against Las Palmas. The team managed by Zidane played a good match, but they could only obtained a draw. Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference about what he thinks of the match, the substitutions and the attitude of the team.

When the journalists asked Zidane about the match in the Canary Islands, the French manager did a resume of the game highlighting the good game his players made. “Sometimes in football you can have many chances but is not enough. We must fight until the end and it´s a pity to receive a goal in the end. I think we made a great match. We played a very good match from the beginning until the end, not as against Villarreal, when we played a very bad first half. When you receive two goals there´s always something you can improve. We lost two points but we are going to continue”, Zidane explained.

Las Palmas are doing a great season this year and they showed it against Real Madrid: “As always a team that plays a very good football, I can say we played against a good opponent, who believed until the end and they achieved the draw”, Zidane said.

The journalists asked Zidane why Real Madrid didn´t finished the match scoring more goals: ”We had many chances to score more goals but we couldn´t finish the match. We controlled the game but in football happens these things. We did what we prepared during the week but if the team receives two goals something we must improve. We must analyze the two goals but I think the team played a good match”, Zidane explained

Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted in the the minute 72 and Zidane explained why he did it: “We have a game on Tuesday and he has to rest. He was playing very well and I had to choose somebody and I thought that the best idea was to change Cristiano”, Zidane explained about the unexpected substitution of Cristiano.
