Mateo Kovacic

Mateo Kovacic could leave Real Madrid this summer. The Croatian midfielder arrived last July from Inter Milano for a 35 M€ transfer fee. In this season, he hasn’t had many opportunities and has never shown why he should stay longer at Madrid.

Los Blancos are looking for new players in the midfield and, if some other players arrive, Kovacic could be one of the first footballers to leave the club. He knows it but it’s certain he doesn’t want to come back to Inter.

Kovacic said to Mediaset that he won’t never come back to Inter because he maintain a very bad relationship with the club coach, Roberto Mancini. Even if he likes ‘neroazzurri’ policy and club, he will never wear the t-shirt if Mancini is the coach. Other Italian clubs such as Milan or Juventus have shown interest on signing the Croatian midfielder.

The 22-year-old Croatian had several opportunities with Rafa Benítez but Zidane didn’t really count on him. In his first season at Real Madrid, Kovacic played 25 games in La Liga and only 8 in the starting lineup, scoring no goals.

Álvaro Morata’s future is in the air. The forward is expected to leave Juventus but his next club is still a big question mark. Several Premier League clubs are interested on signing the Spanish striker but Real Madrid have to decide whether to keep him or sell him.

Real Madrid can re-buy the player for 30M€ from the 1st of July until the 15th of July after selling him to Juventus two years ago with this clause in his contract. In this way, Los Blancos could have back one of the best players in the continent for not a lot of money. Besides, Morata said last week he’d like to come back to Bernabéu.

Having this in mind, Chelsea’s coach, Antonio Conte, wants to have Morata at Stamford Bridge before the Euro starts for Spain, next Monday 13th of June. According to The Guardian, The Italian manager told ‘The Blues’ to sign the forward even before Real Madrid could use the re-buy clause.

This would be a problem for Chelsea. If Juventus sell Morata before the 16th of July, they have to give 80M€ to Real Madrid. Therefore, Chelsea would have to pay a huge transfer fee for Morata and this is not really expected.

Everything is in Zidane’s hands. If Real Madrid decide Morata should stay and fight for a position in the lineup, the Madrid born striker will stay at Los Blancos. Otherwise, Morata will leave Juventus to arrive to an English club.

Bayern Munchen players David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski have been linked to Real Madrid in the last few months. Los Blancos are looking for a left back and a centre forward and both meet the requirements.

According to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern Munchen chief, Real Madrid have not been in touch with the German club to talk about those players. Actually, he showed an SMS from José Angel Sánchez, Real Madrid managing director, saying that there is nothing about these two players.

Rummenigge also said Bayern Munchen won’t sell any player this summer and warned Real Madrid about the good relationship they have between the two clubs: “We don’t sell players we don’t want to sell”, he finished.

Lately, some articles linked David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski to Real Madrid. The Austrian player is always being an interesting footballer for Los Blancos despite having Marcelo in the squad, one of the best left back of the world.

Same applies for Lewandowski, who has recently sign a new contract with Bayern Munchen. He scored four goals against Real Madrid in a Champions League semifinal with Borussia Dortmund and he’s always been targeted by Los Blancos.

Zinedine Zidane doesn’t have too many days of holidays this season. After lifting the 11th Champions League trophy, he has to think and plan the next season. His first full year at the club.

According to Diario As, he wants three main signings for the next year. The coach wants a left back, a midfielder and a forward.

For the left back position, David Alaba is the chosen one. However, it’s very unlikely that the Austrian born player could leave Bayern Munchen. For this reason, Ricardo Rodríguez (Wolfsburg) and Wendell (Bayer Leverkusen) could be the second option.

For the midfield, Zidane wants Paul Pogba but it won’t be easy to get them after reports saying Juventus want 100M€ for the French midfielder. Kanté (Leicester City), Verratti (PSG) or Kramer (Bayer Leverkusen) are the other options.

For the striker position, the new signatures are even more complicated. Lewandowski and Aubameyang are expected to stay in their clubs. The market is really difficult in the forward line, so Morata could have options for a return to Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane will have eleven extra players this summer to prepare the next season. Most of them won’t be in the squad to start La Liga but the club has to work out in the meantime what to do with them.

The most important players that will come back after a loan are Marco Asensio (Espanyol) and Diego Llorente (Rayo Vallecano). Both played most of the games for the clubs and, even though is difficult for them to stay in Real Madrid, they’ve showed they could play for Los Blancos. Burgui (Espanyol) also played with Marco Asensio played a more discrete role in the team.

Denis Cheryshev
(Valencia) also did a good performance but he had several injuries, so he couldn’t show his potential. He’s expected to stay another year abroad. Medrán (Getafe) also had several problems with the injuries and he missed 15 games for this reason.

Lucas Silva (O. Marseille) and Coentrao (Mónaco) played in the French League without success. Both are expected to leave the club this summer.

Mascarell (Sporting), Vallejo (Zaragoza), Mario Hermoso (Valladolid) and Raúl de Tomás (Córdoba) are also Real Madrid players on loan this season that have to come back after the summer.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Atlético de Madrid target Juventus forward Álvaro Morata, who played as Real Madrid player until 2014.

Atlético want to sign forwards like Edinson Cavani or Diego Costa, but surely they have to rule out those options because both PSG and Chelsea will demand a lot of money.

Simeone believes fit into Atlético. The Champions runner-up knows the future of them depends on Argentinian coach, so they will make efforts to create necessary team to keep him as the leadr of Rojiblancos.

But Morata won’t be a cheap signing because Real Madrid have already a buy-back option for €30 million and they are thinking to sign him to sell to another club for €50 or €60 million, so it won’t be an easy negotiation.

They know that Aubameyang wants leave Dortmund to continue growing as footballer, and even more after the departure of players like Hümmels or Gündogan, who has signed for City.

The consequences of an offer war for Aubameyang between City and United would be disastrous for Real because his price would raise. Especially United, which need star signs for next season, won’t care how much will cost any player.

The problem is that Real president, Florentino Pérez wants him but Zidane believes it’s not necessary because of the great season of Keylor Navas, who has refused even play in the Copa América for surgery Achilles tendon to be on top for pre-season.

Furthermore, Mourinho has already handed him the confidence to De gea, unlike Van Gaal, whose relationship with De Gea wasn’t well and Spanish goalkeeper even considered leave United if Dutch coach continued, but now with Mourinho will be different.
