Real Madrid wins Champions League

11th Champions League. The team has won another Champions title. That’s Real Madrid. In Milan, against a historic rival as Atlético de Madrid. It was in penalties. Real scored first in the first half but Atlético drew the game in the minute 79th.

Real started the game playing better than Atlético. Although the first goal arrived through a set piece. Kroos put a perfect cross and Ramos shot in front of Oblak and he couldn’t did anything.

After Ramos’ goal, Atlético started playing better and they had more shoots than Real. In fact, at first of the second half, Atlético had a chance to tie early thanks to a penlty but Griezmann missed it.

Carvajal got injured and Zidane had to put Danilo in. Then Kroos went out of the pitch (Isco was his substitute) and maybe that’s why Real lost more the game control. But Zidane insisted they had won the match and he removed Benzema and Lucas Vázquez entered.

Then, Carrasco tied the game after a Juanfran assist. Zidane couldn’t already replace other players and everybody was exhausted. In the extra time it looked Atlético phisycal was going to be higher than Los Blancos, but the truth is that Real had more chances.

Penalties time. The first shooter was Lucas Vázquez. The young canterano boy, who has impressed everybody, wasn’t afraid and he scored, like Marcelo, Bale and Ramos. It was a intense fight because Atlético kickers wasn’t missing either. Until Juanfran, hitting the post. Cristiano who failed on penalties in 2008 when he was in Manchester United, and in 2014 scored a penalty which it was the 4-1, scored the decisive penalty. Congratulations, Cris, congratulations, Real Madrid.

Champions League trophy

Real Madrid will face Atlético de Madrid on Saturday at 20:45 local time for the European glory. Los Blancos can hold for the 11th time the Champions League title, the second time in a row against the city rivals.

Zidane’s men are really focused on the game and have travelled on Friday to Milano. Real Madrid have never won in San Siro but they expect to change the history in the second Champions League final in only three years.

Everybody remembers the Lisbon clash, where Sergio Ramos scored in the very last minute (at 92:48 exactly) to secure the extra time. There, Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo scored the goals to lift La Décima.

Having this in mind, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid will face each other for the third time this season. Atlético won 0-1 at Bernabeu and they drew 1-1 at Calderón, still with Benítez on the bench.

Real Madrid don’t have any new injuries for the game. Raphael Varane will be the only player to miss the match due to a thigh injury. Cristiano Ronaldo is fully recovered after his physical problems and he’ll start with Bale and Benzema. The full squad have travelled to Milano to celebrate the title in case they’re able to lift the trophy.

Simeone doesn’t have any injury problem as well and he has only the doubt of including Giménez or Savic in the defense. The Uruguayan has more probabilities to start along with Godín as a full back. Fernando Torres and Griezmann will bring all the danger to Navas’ goal.

Carlo Ancelotti was the last coach to bring the glory to Real Madrid when he won the Champions League in 2014 against Atlético de Madrid. He has a lot of experience in this kind of games and he’s already looking forward to the clash.

According to the Italian, “Atlético is the worst opponent for Real Madrid. Atlético only needs half a chance to kill you”. Ancelotti thinks Atlético is a tough team because “they just kicked out Barcelona and Bayern Munchen but in the games between Real Madrid and Atlético, the Rojiblancos have created a lot of problems. Not long time ago, Atlético defeated Real Madrid at Bernabéu”, he remembers.

For Ancelotti, the most important thing is to defend properly: “Only if they defend as a team, Real Madrid could minimize the mistakes, whose Simeone’s team take advantage of”.

Ancelotti had as well a lot of problems when facing Atlético de Madrid. He won the Champions League against the city rivals but he was thrashed at Calderón 4-0 in his last season at Chamartín.

According to French newspaper L’Équipe, Juventus forward Álvaro Morata’s agent, Juanma López, was negotiating in France on wednesday at night with Paris Saint Germain sports director, Olivier Letang.

Morata was sold by Real to Juventus two years ago, but Real is thinking to activate the buy-back option for 30 million euros (23 million pounds), which lasts until 2017.

However, it looks Real is going to re-signing Spanish forward to sell to any team which could pay 50 or 60 million euros. According to L’Équipe, PSG doesn’t matter pay this quantity because they are searching someone who can supply Ibrahimovic, and they consider Morata is the right player.

Xavi Hernández was one of the key players in the Barcelona golden era, winning four Champions League. Now he is almost retired, playing in Qatar but he always keeps a close eye around Spanish football.

He’s looking forward to the Champions League final. Obviously he is supporting Atlético de Madrid because “they deserve it for the work they are doing”. He thinks “this is the moment of Atlético de Madrid”.

He also mentioned the Lisbon final and he thinks that “football always gives you a second chance. Now is the moment for Atlético de Madrid”.

However, Xavi Hernández also highlighted the experience of Real Madrid: “In historic terms, Real Madrid could be a little bit favourite because they have more experience playing finals. You have to keep this in mind but I think Atlético will win the trophy”, he said in an interview with the organizers of Qatar World Cup.

Lucas Vázquez is been one of the best players in this end of the season for Real Madrid. For this reason, he’s been called by Del Bosque for the Spanish squad in the Euro and he could play some minutes in the final. Actually, he did a great job at Manchester when Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out due to an injury.

Now, he was very confident about his expectations for the final: “If we play how we are capable of, we will win. We know they are good defensively and therefore we need to be at our best for the entire game, but we can beat them”, he commented.

Like other members of the team, Lucas Vázquez wanted to highlight Zidane’s job: “It is a pleasure to train with Zinedine Zidane, you see him as the great player he was and you can learn from him every day”, he said.

These two weeks without playing any single game were really long for the players but they’re already looking forward to the clash: “Everyone is looking forward to the match, we are training with joy, enthusiasm and an eagerness to win. The less you think about the importance of the game, the less pressure you feel.”

The next Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, has already started thinking about his team he wants to have. According to Spanish radio Cadena Cope, he has eyed even six players of Real Madrid.

Raphaël Varane, Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. That’s Guardiola’s list. But the problem for ex Barcelona coach is Real doesn’t arise any option. At least this moment.

According to Cadena Cope, Guardiola hasn’t contacted with Real directly, but he has spoken to Kroos agent, who commented it to Real and they say German player salary have been raised. And the actual (until 30th June) Bayern coach is thinking to contact Carvajal agent too.

Manchester City, which has finished the season in the 4th place of Premier, needs a big change in the team, but maybe Guardiola aspirations are unachievable, especially Cristiano, Bale and Benzema.

In these previous days ahead of the Champions League final, everybody is keeping a close eye on Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Antoine Griezmann or Fernando Torres. However, we have the experience of other players being key to win the Champions League trophy.

For instance, no one expected that two years ago, two full-backs like Sergio Ramos or Diego Godín were the main characters in the Lisbon final. If you feel that Sergio Ramos could score a goal again in Milan, you can back him in Betfair with 10/1 odds or 21/1 if he’s the first scorer.

Last time in Lisbon, Real Madrid won the Champions League in the extra time. Now you can bet with 10/1 odds if Real Madrid win again in the extra time at San Siro. In any team wins in penalties, you can bet with 5/1 odds.

Due to the defensive way Atlético de Madrid is usually playing and the recent again among these two teams, a short result is expected. In La Liga both teams drew 1-1 at Calderón and Atlético won 0-1 at Bernabéu. If you bet less that 2.5 goals in the final, you can do it with 4/7 odds.

We have to be confident and expect Real Madrid to win because there are several reason to believe that. If you want to bet at exact result, you can back 1-0 (6/1 odds), 2-0 (10/1 odds), 2-1 (9/1 odds) or 3-0 (25/1 odds).

Louis Van Gaal was sacked this week from his manager position at Manchester United and it’s expected José Mourinho’s arrival to Old Trafford.

The Portuguese coach has already thought about his dreamt squad and Karim Benzema is in there. The coach is very keen on Benzema and he even spoke really good about the French striker when he was the Real Madrid manager. Mourinho compared Benzema with a cat or a tiger, depending on the performance of the striker.

According to some newspapers like The Independent, Manchester United will try to sign Benzema for the next season. It won’t be easy because the ‘Red Devils’ won’t play the Champions League and Benzema looks settle down in Spain.

However, Benzema himself triggered all the rumours this week when he uploaded to his Instagram account a picture where we could see the Manchester United badge.

Real Madrid will face Atlético de Madrid on Saturday in the Champions League final. Los Blancos are the favourite team to win the title despite the good season the Rojiblancos have performed so far.

The ‘BBC’ will be fit for the clash although Cristiano Ronaldo has had some problems during the training sessions this week. Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema will form a lethal forward line to beat Oblak, one of the best keepers in the competition. Of those three, Cristiano Ronaldo is the one with more probabilities to score the goal, according to the bookmakers.
